IZOD IndyCar returning to the race again
|   Saturday, June 23, 2012
The economic downturn had really put everyone off. That was the reason why the IZOD IndyCar was found missing on the road tracks in America. But the good news is that it is back on the track and it will be running on the Detroit's Belle Isle Park Circuit this time. Justin Wilson who won the Dale Coyne Race in the year 2008 will be making a comeback for defending his victory.

It must be said that the Belle Isle Park Circuit is not an easy racing track.
It is technical and it has numerous bumps and critical twist and turns which sure can make the driver crazy. Most of the drivers love its straight track that is next to the Detroit River. The IZOD IndyCar that will be hitting the track will have 2.2 liter twin turbo charge V 6 engine and it will be giving an ultimate driving experience for sure.

The Chevy Detroit Race that will be held this weekend will be affected by the weather a lot. The weather forecasters have said that it is expected that Friday and Saturday will be the rainy days. This will not change the date of the race that has been scheduled. It will in fact be a challenge for the racers.

The drivers tested the track with the Firehawk rain tries at the midday but only eleven out of the twenty five cars were engaged in this. Justin Wilson was summoned in between the race but he still managed to get 3rd place in the car, he was driving the Number 18 Sonny Indy Car with the 11 turn's tire wall. He said that when he was about to go for the 7th turn, the car directly went into the wall. He damaged his nose with this little accident.

The person who drove the fastest was Takuma Sato. He was driving the Number 15 Honda vehicle. This powertrain was used by Rubens Barrichello who was coming second in the KV race while he was driving the Number 8 Chevrolet. Rubens Barrichello was taking the led as he managed to cross the hour long drill before which Takuma Sato took him over and started to lead the track. Sebastien Bourdais was the person who turned the most laps driving the Number 7 Blue and white Chevrolet.

It rained all the way through the afternoon. The track now looks like a showered up place. The audience has been spell bound by the scene wondering who would be winning the rainy race and who will go home disappointed. The lowest time taken to cover the track was about 1:28.174 and this was during the practice.

To catch more highlights of the race and in order to know more about the drivers who performed at their best during the session, you can surf the World Wide Web. Plenty of information, news and gossip will be found all over the web that sure will arouse the sentiments of the people who love these sports races.
