Hyundai Tucson Returns After 6-Year Break

Hyundai has revealed the first official images of the new Tucson before the start of the Geneva Motor Show. The model presents a stylish exterior, highlighted by dynamic proportions, and has advanced features for safety and comfort.

The front bumper, wing-shaped, incorporates LED daytime running lights and gives a unique and impressive style to the new 2015 Hyundai Tucson model. To strengthen the strong personality of the vehicle, the back draws attention by beautifully modeled surfaces, with horizontal lines that float to the rear wheel arches, accentuated by thin taillights.


The soft touch quality materials create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere aboard the new 2015 Hyundai Tucson. Build on a new platform, the Hyundai Tucson benefits from generous interior dimensions. Intelligent partitioning provides an excellent exterior and the optimized interior dimensions make sure passengers and luggage don't sit on top of each other. With a roomy and comfortable interior, the Hyundai Tucson offers a substantial luggage capacity of 513 liters with the rear seats upright.

Among the facilities offered by the 2015 Hyundai Tucson we have heated and ventilated front seats, with a longer horizontal side for improved support. For more convenience, the new model features automatic trunk opening (when the access key is detected nearby) and intelligent parking assist with a detection function for available parking space.

The new navigation system on the Hyundai Tucson is three times faster compared with the previous generation system which was equipped on Hyundai models that was accompanied by a seven-year free subscription to the TomTom LIVE services.

The new 2015 the Hyundai Tucson includes safety features such as the automatic emergency braking system. This automatically acts the brakes when it detects dangerous proximity to a person or a vehicle in front, at high and low speeds. In addition, the lane keeping assist proactively corrects the position of the steering wheel to keep the vehicle running in the middle of its lane, while the rear traffic warning system uses a sensor with a 180-degree action warning the driver about the proximity rear vehicles.

The Hyundai Tucson also benefits from a blind spot monitoring system that shows traffic around the car. The detection functions within the legal speed limit which monitors billboards and road signs, reminding the driver about the maximum speed. The active hood system withdraws the vehicle hood in a frontal impact with a pedestrian or bicyclist to cushion the impact.

The range of engines for the new Hyundai Tucson includes two petrol engines: 135 hp (1.6 liters GDI) and 176 hp (1.6 liters T-GDI), and three diesel engines at 115 hp (1.7 liters) 136 hp (2.0 liters) and 184 hp (2.0 liters). The new 1.6-liter turbo engine T-GDI with 176 hp is associated with a double clutch seven-speed (7DCT transmission), or a six-speed manual gearbox. All engines have been enhanced to provide increased maneuverability and be fuel efficient, adapting to the Euro 6 standards.

The 2015Hyundai Tucson for the European markets will be produced in Hyundai's plant in the Czech Republic as part of its commitment to the region. The confidence in the quality of Hyundai products made in Europe is confirmed by the five-year warranty with unlimited kilometers, unique in the industry that will accompany each new Tucson model. This package also includes five years of roadside assistance and five years of regular checks of the vehicle.

The new Tucson will have its world premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show (March 5 to 15) and will be marketed in Europe from the second half of the year.
