Hyundai Ready to Roll out the 2013 Santa Fe
|   Friday, February 01, 2013
Hyundai had announced the launch of the next generation Santa Fe quite a while ago but no news of the vehicle was available until recently. The first glance of the Santa Fe is not available and this vehicle is unlike any other vehicle designed y Hyundai in the past. Strong yet subtle is the first impression that a person will get and that is exactly the dynamics that gets this vehicle going.

Hyundai's new fluidic design concept has been used on the Santa Fe as well and the curved lines on a vehicle this big, does look good regardless of what people may say.
The exterior styling deserves much credit and the sharp side lines start from the headlamps and continue till the rear lamps. Additional lights up front make night visibility clear while the new custom chrome grille leaves an impact on the viewer.

Priced at $25,275, the base version of the Santa Fe features some of the advanced features missing in other Hyundai models and the price point was possible as the Santa Fe is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata. An additional performance package worth $2,700 has been installed in the Santa Fe and this ups the performance quotient of the vehicle.

The vehicle looks raw, mean and muscular and this is the best part about the Santa Fe. The suspension setting on this vehicle also makes it an off road specialist and Hyundai has designed this vehicle especially for the American customers. The cabin looks quite expensive even though the parts are standard issue. However, they do not feel cheap and this is what distinguishes the Santa Fe from most other standard SUVs on road.

The interior panels have a posh feel to them although the dashboard has a plastic feel. The interior upholstery is quite basic while the single tone work wonders for the car. Hyundai plans on rolling out a higher displacement version of the Santa Fe although a confirmation date has not been announced. People opting to go for the Santa Fe could go for the current version if they are unwilling to wait any longer as this vehicle will not disappoint customers.

The overall wheel base dimension of the Santa Fe has been increased and the vehicle sports a larger boot space. The cabin is Bluetooth enabled and features a 5.6 inch GPS enabled touch screen. However, the Santa Fe is quite difficult to drive as the steering is not as refined and connected as expected. Even a less powerful Mazda CX5 is more fun to drive as its driving ergonomics is better than the Santa Fe.

The chassis structure of the Santa Fe makes it a stable and a stout vehicle to own and drive and the monocoque frame is the backbone of the Santa Fe's ability to travel off road. Hyundai has traversed the extra mile to design the Santa Fe and the vehicle surely deserves appreciation for being a first. However, Hyundai could try improving the driving ergonomics of the vehicle to provide a complete feel.
