Hyundai ready to launch the next generation i20
|   Friday, September 21, 2012
Hyundai is set to launch a remodeled and redesigned new i20 for its customers this year, apart from launching its younger, more advanced cousin, the i30. The face lifted i20 was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in 2012 and the vehicle is all set to be showcased finally at the Paris International Motor Show 2012.

The popular hatch back from Hyundai has been revolutionized and remodeled on both the interior and exterior front. The new i20 has already been launched in South Africa and is available in three distinct variants – the Fluid with a six speed manual transmission, the Glide, also with a six speed manual transmission and a Fluid automatic with a four speed automatic transmission system.

All these transmission systems are mated to a singular 1.4 liter 73 KW producing petrol engine and this vehicle increases the lineup of Hyundai's passenger segment vehicle. The i20 has benefitted by a great margin due to its new aerodynamic fluidic design and power train and this is visible in the car's performance review.

The i20 is hexagonal in shape features the aggressive front grille that is common on a Hyundai. The aerodynamic design makes the vehicle seem in constant motion and the halogen headlamps make night touring safe.
The new body shape also gives the i20 a sophisticated feel and a sense of technological advancement. The new i20 also features an increase in the car's wheelbase and cabin height, which means more space inside. The interior feels plush and in\s made up of high quality materials.

The dash board has a leather covering and the leather upholstery used in the i20 is top notch. The vehicle also features an advanced sound system which makes the audio quality top notch and the air condition system, climate control, parking sensors, braking assistance, GPS, 7 inch touch screen, Bluetooth, WI-FI and USB connectivity make this vehicle the best in class.

The i20 has been remodeled for the youth and its targeted market is the college goers. The car is available in a host of funky colors like Sports Red, Frost White, Metallic Silver, Midnight Black, etc. Servicing should be done within every 15,000 km and the first five servicing are free.

The rear of the vehicle has received a new cosmetic change and the fenders are more extended, hence giving the vehicle a very aggressive look from any angle. The i20 is waiting to be pushed to its limits and the high torque at low RPM means excess power at all gear shifts.

The car is perfectly suited to the track as well and is quite agile at any instance. The car has the best power to weight ratio in class and this means the best possible weight distribution and as a result best dynamics ever on a Hyundai.

The car also has great gear shift ratios and this lends enough power to the axle at the correct moment which further enhances performance. The i20 is set to be released world over by the end of the year and advance bookings have already started.
