The second generation model of the Hyundai Genesis is almost close to its last stages of production and development and the prototype could be revealed as early as the end of 2013. The vehicle takes shape from a luxury sedan while the primary target of the vehicle is to rival the BMW 5 Series, which is also currently undergoing extensive testing.

The design of the vehicle along with the artistic lines is sure to make this car quite popular with the youngsters while the additional features should attract the gadget lovers too.

The Hyundai Genesis bears resemblance to the Kia K9 or the Quoris sedan, which is also set to be the firm's flag ship model. This is however relevant as Kia's Head of Design Peter Schreyer is also Hyundai's Design Chief. Some of the key components of this design include sharp head lamps, shorter overhangs and the long and imposing hood.

LED lights have been added next to the head lamp along with parking cameras and an advanced radar which enhances the general aesthetics of the car. The Genesis is powered by a 3.8 liter V6 engine displacing 333 BHP while the range topping R Spec version gets 429 BHP from a 5.0 liter V8 engine block.

Hyundai is also checking the prospects of introducing a diesel engine into the lineup. The Genesis is based on a rear wheel drive train while the underpinnings of the car have been enhanced. This enhances the handling and general performance of the car while maintaining the basic dynamics of the concept Genesis, showcased a year back at Geneva.

The 2015 Genesis is set to be a class leader in terms of general specifications while handling is expected to exceed initial estimates. Hyundai plans on enhancing the general handling of the Genesis to give it a sporty edge over the other sedans in the market as well as compete with the German engineered sedans. All wheel drive is also expected on the Genesis although Hyundai is yet to finalize the list of available drive trains.
