Hyundai plans on launching the 2013 Santa Fe
|   Sunday, January 06, 2013
The Hyundai Santa Fe is Hyundai's ticket into the crossover segment in the United States of America and parts of the United Kingdom. The Santa Fe has been based on Hyundai's famous creation, the Sonata platform and the base price of the Santa Fe can start from a base price of $25,275. The Santa Fe has been filled with electronic assistance measures and other advanced technological devices and software and all of them are aimed at making lives better for the people purchasing these vehicles.

The Technological Package includes an eight inch touch screen monitor, a heated steering wheel and an additional sunroof which sets back the customer by another $3900. This is a pricey modification and Hyundai offers this modification as optional. The exterior work of the 2013 Santa Fe has been completely changed and even the side door panels look different from the very first glance. The vehicle has been designed like a robot and looks quite futuristic from the front and sides.

The masculine lines throughout the body also give the exterior a sharp new look and this looks different and unconventional than any Hyundai vehicle from the past. With Hyundai is implementing the all new fluidic sculpture, the Santa Fe has benefitted too and the vehicle features mane of the trademark characteristics than differentiate a crossover from a conventional hatchback or sedan.

The interior is quite spacious and handling and performance wise, the Santa Fe feels like an overgrown hatchback. The Santa Fe has been designed exclusively for the American country people, who had long ago ditched the smaller vehicles for SUVs. However, SUVs are not as fuel efficient and fun to drive as crossovers and as a result the Santa Fe seems to be perfectly suited to the country market. The vehicle looks expensive from all angles and although that is not a reality, it is not cheap by any means.

The interior features an all new dashboard design, unseen in any vehicle in the past and the cluster is quite decent and arranged. The seating arrangement is adequate and the driver's seat provides a decent view of the road ahead. The seats are also quite comfortable and provide decent under seat and thigh support. This is good for the driver and the passengers.

The Santa Fe can seat seven adults comfortably and the safety features are quite adequate. The Santa Fe has even passed the European NCAP test with five star rating and that makes it one of the best on road as well as the safest. Performance wise, the vehicle is quite efficient and considering its size it is expected to be fast.

An on road test has not been performed as of yet and so the figures and times cannot be posted. However, Hyundai is expected to launch the vehicle for testing quite soon and the figures are expected to be unveiled within the first quarter of 2013. Overall, the Santa Fe is a promising ride and is expected to beat its predecessor in terms of sales.
