Hyundai Australia gets second highest spot during October Sales
|   Tuesday, November 18, 2014
Hyundai Australia has posted the highest sales for the month of November in this week which suggests its amazing sales growth for the consecutive 29th month. It is inching closer to overtake the number one Mazda.

Hyundai, which is a Korean based company, has managed to sell 8401 units in total for this month. As per stats, it has increased up to 3.3 percent because last time figure was 8130 units. It took total 83,754 units in the whole annum which is only less by 113 behind Mazda's selling figure that is 83,754 units.

As per a report, before few months neither of Mazda or Hyundai is racing to get this top position but according to current scenario it seems like it is attached with brag rights. This growth has come as an overall sales fell of 1.5 percent. The October figure of the company was enough to take it into rank two for the overall month leaving behind Toyota's 17,382 units down by 3.0 percent.

This proves Hyundai holds itself up of Holden which has 7542 units that is down by 28.4 percent and Mazda with 6880 units having down by 13.6 percent and For with 6337 units that is down by 15.3 percent. It is really a thing to notice that this was the only one between top five racers to show positive selling figures during same month of October, 2013.

This was a hint of increase in fragmentation in market where luxury brands and second tier alike models, which are sometimes interchangeable, are bringing larger bites of shrinking pies. Passenger car have been sold in a total of 6174 units which is up by 3.6 percent and this is two behind Toyota's 7987 unit sells. However, it was enough to almost 14 percent shares in market.

As per a report, company managed to sell 1845 of ix35 only and SUV Santa Fe was down by 3.7 percent while market's growth was 9.7 percent. Its commercial light sales jumped to 48.6 percent up to 382 units via iLoad model.

Hyundai's top most sellers including ix35 which dropped by 14 percent which was held up to number one during its SUV segment for continuous 21 month with sell of 1273 units.

The i20 also won light car award with total of 1328 units, although it plummeted 23.3 percent comparing to its last year's October month's performance. When it combines with the Accent which sold 679 units that is up by 86 percent, company wins the segment comfortably for running ninth month.

A report suggests, Mazda 2, which is a new generation model, ramps up in this month to get the best volume challenging model for i20. Mazda lost the top position in this area and it can be safely said that it wants the top position back.

The Veloster on the other side regained the top position by selling it in $80k by selling 466 units of this sporty model with a 32.8% leaving Toyota 86 behind which holds the runners up position.
