Honda offers low prices on an electric vehicle
|   Monday, June 24, 2013
It has been noticed in recent news that Honda has lowered the price of all electric cars that have been manufactured since June 2012 because Honda motors has aimed that they will sell eleven hundred cars in two years since 2012. Due to some crisis the electric cars could not attract people towards it as they predict. At the end of the May 2013 they found that 176 takers only because consumer do not want to pay more than 350 dollars for just a car which goes only 82 miles and after that it need to be recharged.
In the advance version of the electric car it has a gas powered engine which also gives a mileage of 30 in 1 gallon. Not only Honda others electric car manufacturer like Nissan motors GM also feels shorten in sales in their electric cars.

According to the report of NADA (National automobile dealer's association) only the 1 % of 1/3rd in 6.4 million branded vehicles sold in the beginning of 2013were zero emission. The problem for automakers is increasing day by day and the pressure pushes to zero emission vehicle on cynical customers. The major states of the United States of America lead in requiring electric cars and hydrogen powered models which predict to enhance the sales of 15 % in the year 2025.

There are lots of models in electric cars like Fit EV or plug-in hybrid and many other but Plug in hybrid has a gasoline engine with electric engine so in that case the list of green cars Fit EV wins because it has only the electric engine with zero emission vehicles. As per formula many auto manufacturers want to earn the credits depends on zero emission vehicle. The number of credits the manufacturer earning is increasing day by day which satisfy the company's production. TSLA motors sells credit to companies which want it, TSLA made 85 million dollars selling in California and credits in the first quarter of this year.

Honda aims to plan a risk strategy with efficiently and produce the quotas, but offering low prices is not an effective solution because it is not sustainable. The authorization "directs manufacturers to suggest consumer's technology options next to a fixed time frame and with specific numbers, despite whether the technology and market are prepared." In the past 2 months before there was a request filled with the presence of Honda and General Motors' to the United States environmental protection agency to cease the sales target.

The strategy of Honda to offer lower prices will lead to enhanced the sales of vehicle for electric car lovers. This strategy is in a risk according to the analysts of auto manufacturer but to achieve the goals as per Honda this risk is not a big task for them. Now, looking forward in future, what could be happening with Honda and other auto manufacturer who want to enhance the sale of electric cars in order to make the pollution free environment for their coming s generation?
