Honda has officially launched the all new models for the Civic lineup at the Paris International Motor Show 2012 and the first vehicle to be unveiled at the event is the new Civic wagon Type R which is set to be available in showrooms across the globe post 2015.

Honda will launch the new Civic wagon, a whole new derivative of the vastly successful concept vehicle Type R. The Civic wagon has a sporty nature and this thrilling to drive. The vehicle has the racing DNA of the Civic sedan and the vehicle will be showcased for the first time at the Beijing and Detroit Motor Shows 2013.

Apart from the Civic wagon, Honda also plans to launch the NSX, also based on its new Type R technology and Honda has confirmed these vehicles for the European market. Type R vehicles in the past have been hugely successful with the masses and these vehicles in some cases were known to do better than their original siblings.

This time too, the Civic Type R has high expectations and Type R is a brand that can attract any customer from any sector towards itself. The Civic wagon is set to fix a new benchmark in its class for handling, agility and speed and Honda is hopeful of this vehicle doing well in the industry.

The Type R is synonymous with high speed and handling and the Civic wagon Type R is set to do the same all over again. The Type R vehicles were inspired from the World Touring Car Competitions and hence they featured all new standards when it came to street racing.

Honda is finally ready to launch its new i-DTEC 1.6 liter diesel engine and this will be introduced in the upgraded Honda CR – V. The model will be up for sale early 2013 and bookings will start post the Paris International Motor Show 2012. Honda's Civic range will also feature the diesel engine and this could take up some to come into production.

With low Co2 emission and decent fuel economy, the new i-DTEC engine could be the next most preferred Honda by customers. This is the lightest engine created by Honda and it produces 300 Nm of torque @ 1,500 RPM.
Honda has launched its new Earth Dream project and the i-DTEC is the first engine to be manufactured by this project and engines developed from this platform will be used all over Europe within the next three years.

The Honda Civic WTCC JAS will make its debut at the October leg of the Suzuki rally. The vehicle was developed by the Honda's racing designing and engineering team and this vehicle is the fastest Civic to be on the road. Honda is excited about being back on the race track and expectations are high from the team and the drivers.

Honda is a firm believer in saving the earth and eco friendly measures of driving and hence a variety of eco friendly hybrids is set to be on the cards which will be showcased at the Detroit Motor Show 2013.
