After a difficult period, the global auto market begins to recover. In April, all auto manufacturers have been given a breath of oxygen. The global market grew by 8 percent last month, which means an extra 500,000 cars compared to the same period of the last year. Of the 500,000 units about 200,000 went to the market in China.

In April, the global auto market recorded 6.875 million new car registrations. This fact allowed for the end of the quarter to register a growth of 3.4 percent or 900,000 cars in addition compared to the same period of the last year. In total, in the first quarter, 27.301 million cars were sold.

Those responsible for this increase were the two most important markets of the world: China and the United States. Both countries amounted for 44 percent of registrations of April. The market in China has increased by 13 percent last month. In the same period, the United States has had an 8% increase. And Japan is back on an upward trend. At the same time, it had recorded a positive trend too, +0.7 percent. Also, Brazil came back with a29 percent increase in the last month.

In Europe, April brought a 2 percent increase in sales of automobiles, thanks to recovery of the most important markets there. Great Britain contributed to a 17 percent increase and Germany with 4 percent. France recorded, however, a 5 percent decrease.
