Geneva motor show had a lot to surprise the viewers
|   Saturday, March 09, 2013
With just about a week left in the Geneva motor show the experts had predicted that the show would be dominated massively by the B segment SUV's. This was predicted because the producers who sold about 150,000 SUV in the European markets last year are expecting a rise in the sale of SUV up to 400,000 in the next year. There was a huge expectation that SUVs will rule the European streets by then end of 2014.

If you are a producer or a car dealer who is looking for more buyers than this could be great news.
The news of the expansion certainly created a huge buzz in the markets but it was all in vain. The news of the expansion was certainly crashed and stumbled by some great and extraordinary speed monsters. The general supercars took to the front. There were too many supercars at a single show. There has never been a greater show in recent times.

Everyone expected the launch of the new McLaren P1 would attract people and some were also excited about the Ferrari Enzo. No one even knew that the Enzo was no longer in existence and it had been named La Ferrari. These cars were expected to rule the show.

People would only think that these cars could never be topped and now it has been made clear that the vintage Ferrari and McLaren cannot be topped but however the new Porsche 911 GT3 and the ultimately made Lamborghini Veneno also looked to steal the show on their own. There are no comparisons with the new version of the Bugatti Veyron that has been newly developed and created with new added features.

It seemed that this was a bigger show than expected. It was looking just like the old days when beautiful and exotic cars ruled the earth. Among the other show stoppers were the Chevrolet Corvette convertible and the ever exquisite Rolls Royce Wraith. The Aston Rapid S was also a good inclusion in the show. This motor show looked more like a show of power and beauty. There was no doubt that this was an open competition from all the producers to showcase the best they have.

Though the larger SUVs did not make a huge impact the smaller SUVs did make a statement. The Peugeot 2008 and the Renault Captur along with the Ford EcoSport are expected to make a name for themselves in the European markets in the next year. There were many more cars that stole the show from the larger beast like cars.

The pick of the lot was the Volkswagen XL1 which is still in production form and two batches have been cleared for sale in the markets. It looks to be a real economy car and friendly on the pockets. Though the price has not been disclosed yet, it is expected that the price could be around the £40k mark. At this price also the car will have a great market for the value it could provide in the long run.
