General Motors has a few launches exclusively for the Brazilian market

General Motors has launched the Chevrolet Onix based on the Brazilian market at the Sao Paolo Motor Show. The vehicle is designed for the rough Brazilian road conditions and the Onix is set to be launched in the Brazilian market as a five door hatch back with the options of a 1.0 liter and a 1.4 liter petrol and ethanol engine.

The Onix sports a five speed automatic transmission system mated to the engine and high technical specifications are being offered with the Onix like Bluetooth and My Link apart from a host of other special customizations.

General Motors is looking to create a vehicle high on comfort, technology, visual aesthetics and performance which is easy to maintain, own and run. The Onix is the perfect combination of all these and as a result the vehicle is perfectly suited to the Brazilian market.

Japanese Car makers Honda have also showcased a rugged off road version of the Jazz and this vehicle has sparked a lot of hype in the Brazilian market. Tagged the Fit Twist, the vehicle has been designed to cover any terrain that Brazil may offer to it and as a result the vehicle has been completely converted to an off roader machine.

However, Honda confirms that the vehicle has not undergone any suspension changes and the only difference lies in the fact that the Jazz has been rebuilt with bigger wheels to give it more ground clearance and stability when on challenging tracks. This vehicle has been built exclusively for the Brazilian market and hence will not be available in any other parts of the world.

Skoda Motors has also been spied testing the next generation Skoda Octavia which is set to be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. The vehicle will be showcased in March and there is quite enough time to fix the minor issues that the vehicle might face during the trial runs. The vehicle looks excellent from the spy images and the top authorities have confirmed at the Sao Paolo Motor Show that the fourth generation of the Octavia is based on the very successful MQB platform.

The Volkswagen Group has plans to unveil close to 27 production vehicles this year and the Octavia is one in the lineup. Some of the other high anticipated vehicles are the Seat Leon and the Audi A3. The Octavia is set to feature an increased wheel base of 4.8 meters and this will outclass the Skoda Rapid, the longest in class by quite a margin. The vehicle is set to be available across showrooms post the launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013 and the customers have already started inquiring for the pre bookings.

The Skoda Octavia is set to be the longest vehicle in the MQB platform and the price is expected to be close to that of the previous generation. A performance oriented vRS model is expected to be launched at the Good Wood Festival of Speed next year and that is a highly anticipated event.
