Ford unveils the all new Ford Mondeo in the UK
|   Monday, September 24, 2012
Ford's innovative and upgraded Fusion, which is known as the Mondeo in many parts of the world, is finally set to be available in the United Kingdom post January 2013. Ford launched the Evos concept in 2012 and the vehicle featured a host of minor modifications to the vehicle.

The introduction of the Evos was seen as the beginning of the new era for Ford Motors and it was expected to launch a few innovative vehicles in Europe. This notion has finally come true and the Ford Mondeo which is set to be launched in the UK was just launched in the US.

Ford Motors is a true innovator in the world of American vehicles and the company revolutionized the way that people look at cars by introducing the jelly bean styled exterior design a few decades back.

The new Ford Mondeo showcases a few bold styling cues and exterior modifications that are taken directly from the Evos. On the other hand, the Ford Fusion is also inspired from the Evos and some of the new designing features on the vehicles are the slit shaped design that are a welcome relief from the old broad headlights on all current Ford models.

The Mondeo has an Audi A7 type roof line extended from the rear of the vehicle and this looks quite appealing to the aesthetic senses. The upscale Mondeo faces a trapezium grille just like the one present on the Aston Martin DB 9.

The interior is more spacious than any sedan Ford has ever designed and the use of the quality parts and leather means that the vehicle has a very classic feel. The speedometer and different gauges are quite appealing and easy to read and the cabin has a complete look thanks to its soft finishing lines, sumptuous designing and grained pattern.

The Mondeo is powered by a 2.0 liter Titanium engine which is highly powerful but detailed specifications have not been listed. The Sony audio device installed in the vehicle lends the cabin the feel of an auditorium when it is switched on and this is an awesome experience in itself.

Other luxury features installed in the vehicle include seat heaters, touch screen menus, GPS connectivity, Bluetooth, WI-FI and USB connectivity and the vehicle can also be plugged on to a smart phone. These advanced controls make life easier for the people and the car is set to receive high points for smoothness and refinement once it is launched.

The Mondeo has an increased wheel base which is perfect on the interior as well as for the exterior. The turning radius is not too broad for comfort and the interior space is perfect for even a six foot tall person.

The vehicle has enough leg and head space to accommodate a person comfortably and the Mondeo has space to carry 3 adults and 2 children with ease. The boot space in the vehicle is also quite high and is enough for storing a considerable amount of luggage.
