The technology is based on the hype around smart phones and is expected to be a hit with the younger generation. The technology was previewed at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona which turned out to be a huge hit with the masses. The Mobile World Congress is a hugely popular event in the technology circuit around the world and was hence the ideal place for Ford to showcase its technological marvel.

The SYNC Applink is a technology which allows while applications can be downloaded with the help of voice recognition. This reduces the risk factor of drivers meeting with an accident while driving and is hence regarded as one of the most important technologies in the world at the moment. Drivers in a way can interact with their vehicle and enjoy complete connectivity at the same time.

The all new Ford Fiesta will feature the SYNC Applink as well and Ford has successfully run the test on the technology and is planning on introducing this full time. The SYNC Emergency Assistance has also been introduced in this vehicle and it will reduce the risk of an accident by enhancing the safety measures of the vehicle. This system also sends the information of the location and whereabouts of the driver and his vehicle to the local authorities in case of an accident.

Ford has introduced various language options in this system and as a result it can be used in different parts of the world. This also ensures rapid assistance from the authorities in case of an emergency. The basic idea behind the system is similar to BMW's iDrive technology used in cars such as Volvo and PSA. Ford claims that the Eco Sport will be the first vehicle to sport the SYCK technologies and this is a measure aimed at increasing sales.

Ford will be introducing the SYNC technologies across all its products and some of the options available on the Eco Sport will also be seen on other models in the future. The SYNC Technology is a boon to mankind and Ford hopes to sell the vehicle by claiming to have installed a comprehensive package for the buyers.
