Ford Plans on Launching the Next Generation Mondeo by spring 2014
|   Sunday, April 21, 2013
Ford has announced a considerable price cut on the Mondeo and this has been done in an effort to attract sales. The current model of the Mondeo has been in the market for the past six years and a new model was set to be launched in the UK this year. However, confirmed news regarding the vehicle is yet to be announced although it is expected to be launched next spring.

Ford is claiming an improvement in overall mileage and performance and if these are correct, the Mondeo could very soon be accepted as a major part of the market.
There has been a minor trim upgrade on the Mondeo and the new vehicle features better CO2 emission. Ford is quite hopeful that the new modifications will successfully attract mass sales although this is a claim which needs to be tested.

Ford plans to implement this idea in order to delay arrangements till the next model arrives next year. The new model of the Mondeo costs £2000 less than its predecessor while the base price of the new model – tagged the graphite – starts at £15,995. The prices of the entry level Edge started at £18,100. The Graphite sports 17 inch sports rims along with a rear wing along with a list of selected engine types.

The interior features advanced use of leather and this has been done to enhance the overall image of the vehicle. Ford is also offering air con, Bluetooth and other entertainment options on the Mondeo. The Mondeo features a range of trims such as the Titanium Executive trim, Titanium X etc and the base price of these starts from £21,995.

The vehicle is still powered by a 2.0 liter TDCi Duratorq engine, although the power generation and fuel efficiency has been enhanced. Average CO2 emission for the five door version of the vehicle is 119 g/km while the estate emits 120 g/km of CO2. There have been no subsequent changes to the exterior or other aspects of the vehicle apart from the ones mentioned and the general technology and handling ability of this vehicle is the same.

The new Mondeo is a much awaited ride and the first batch is expected to reach customers by early 2014. The details regarding the specification of the vehicle is not available although it is rumored to sport an optional 1.0 liter Ford Eco boost engine. The Mondeo is a great project at the moment and Ford plans on getting all the minor equations right while formulating this car as a great part of the company's future in the economic sector depends on the success of this vehicle.

The development and design of this vehicle is currently in its final stages and this is the most crucial time for the development of this vehicle. The Mondeo is one of the most important products from Ford and this is a family car aimed at fulfilling all the major practical needs of the family based customer segment. This is a lucrative market and Ford is keen on retaining its share in the market.
