Ford is offering four anniversary models, available only in France.
The celebration of the 50th anniversary since the famous victory at Le Mans sees Ford launching in France a special edition which is meant to pay homage to this event. The special edition will be called "50th Anniversary" and will include all the performance models in the manufacturer's range: Mustang Coupe, Focus RS, Focus ST and Fiesta ST.

Each of these four models will receive a special edition built in a limited edition of only 50 copies.

1966 was shown to be one of the most important year in Ford's history. That year, the American producer monopolized the podium of the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. On board the Ford GT40 Mk. II, pilots Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon members of Team Shelby - American Inc. were victorious at the end of 360 laps on the famous circuit.

The 34th edition of the endurance race 24 Hours of Le Mans took place on the 18th and 19th June 1966 and made history in that the podium was occupied by three Ford GT40s after an infernal race.

Designed with the special role to stop the supremacy of Ferrari, which had won six consecutive editions of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 fulfilled its objective and managed to win four consecutive times too.

The supercar, at that time, was equipped with a V8 engine unit with a displacement of 7.0 liters. The two hundred copies, which will be built by the folks at Ford for the special edition "50th Anniversary" will get a special look to pay homage to those that won at Le Mans, half century ago.
Thus, the cars will be painted entirely in black, crossed by streaks of gray, from the front grille to the rear.
Details of the special edition "50th Anniversary" will be seen in the interior too. Also, a plate with the namesake logo will be applied on the center console. It will contain the number of copy too.

Ford prepares another surprise for those who would like to purchase one of the models in the "50th Anniversary" special edition. Therefore, the cars will be equipped as standard with additional equipment packages.
For example, the Focus RS models will come accompanied by the City and Premium packages, while Mustang models will be shod with 19-inch wheels, and will have leather upholstery of the highest quality.

Also, the Fiesta ST copies will benefit from the Performance package. The Performance package brings red-painted calipers, 17-inch alloy wheels, and illuminated door sill plates. Then, there is the Parking Pack, which includes rear park assists and electric folding mirrors.
The Focus ST will come accompanied by the related goodies of the Styling package.

More than that, one of the 200 "50th Anniversary" special edition buyers will win a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The most affordable model of the special edition is the Fiesta ST, which will have a starting price of 27,200 euros, while the Mustang coupe will reach to just over 47,000 euros.
