|   Wednesday, December 10, 2014
According to Asia Pacific Ford boss, in Australia the sales are being spiralling from decade around on turning its verge by the company. Since, from 2004 when the sales peak at 135,172 the Ford's Australian every year then have got been declined its sales. Last year the drop was around to 87,236 and so far further this year they are down 6.2% tallying 67,924 till October end.

Overall, it been left in fifth position with oval blue brand which well adrift the Hyundai (83,754) to be in fourth placed, although Nissan(54,973) over breathing space with sixth position.
However, the company loss is due might be much of the performance attribute of Falcon ill-fated. During 2004 the Falcon sales for sedan, ute, wagon, Fairlane long-wheelbase and the LED models were in total 87,697 whereas combined sales for its ute and sedan this year seems to break luckily 10,000 units.

Other than Falcon line-up for Ford Australian there are also other concerns too. This year 22.7% sales for fiesta are down (5623) and similarly 21.0% off pace (13,027) for Focus last year. Moreover, for the Ford Australian shinning light this year was the Ranger. The Ranger most popular brand's nameplate 4x2 sales this year has grown 30.1% (5126) whereas 4x4 sales by 23.0% (17,413).

Its other models like SUV's are struggling, Territory down by 27.6% (8366), also EcoSport this year per month its sales was just 174 which was an average sale while the Kuga was up by 60.0% (4901) although given an misleading that during April 2013 this new model went on for sale compared to October 2013 was last month down by 4.7%.

President of Asia Pacific Ford David Schoch said; "Even though Australian division has been suffered losses up-to 10 years but now it's not away from reaching showroom with positive result and is coming into this market as more products we do launch". Further he said, its being in transition period and need space, but also confident about the product to be seen a turnaround globally.

Next month the arrival of updated Territory and Falcon, Ford Australia to add new three core vehicles for next of six months. Also in December updated Kuga, February all-new Mondeo, in March usual Focus Q2 range and facelifted Focus ST versions to be launched. In second half year updated Ranger, Mustang halo sports vehicle and all-new Everest will then be coming.

Schoch said, "Ford in Australia with hybrids, electric models and plug-in vehicles was then ready to be going with but will not be pulling its trigger until the market shows sufficient demand for it". Hence customer demand is more important and all technology models are ready to go in market when there is more demand is seen from customers.

However, customers have not yet decided what they really want and so right now it's just a guess game such that it cannot be indicate when the Ford to launch in Australia its alternative first energy models consisting EcoBoost, diesel, plug-in-hybrid, usual-hybrid, pure battery kind of engines.
