The first 100 units of the next generation Ford Mustang will be officially sold as a Limited Edition, General Motors revealed. The model – christened the 2014.5 - was showcased at an internet forum to celebrate five decades of the Mustang. The Limited Edition Mustangs are based on the next generation S550 platform from Ford while the car will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine displacing 444 BHP.

Ford has not confirmed plans to bring the Mustang to the United Kingdom although importers can look forward to purchasing the vehicle.
Even though details are being revealed, prices are yet to be disclosed. The Limited Edition model should not sport any other modifications as compared to the Mustang 2015, which will however be available in the UK. The 2015 Mustang available in the UK will feature a 2.3 liter engine lifted off the Ford Focus ST, although limited units of this vehicle are expected to arrive on British shores.

Ford has sold Limited Edition Mustangs in the past as well, celebrating important milestones on the way. This is however a special occasion as fifty years of a vehicle needs to be celebrated in style. The last Limited Edition model was the Mustang 45th Anniversary edition which was sold back in 2009.

Latest images of the McLaren P1 XP2R test mule have recently surfaced and the car was spotted testing at Nurburgring. McLaren was always into renovation and engineering upgrades and the latest P1 could be an upgraded version of the base P1. However, insiders claim that the XP2R is just a test mule for the basic McLaren P1 and there have been no modification on the current flagship model.

XP2R actually stands for eXperimental, Validation, Pre Production while the 2 indicates that this is the second test proto type. The R clarifies that this is a Revised test mule. The McLaren P1 is one of the most highly engineered vehicles of the decade. The P1 sports a price tag of £866,000 while being powered by a 3.8 liter V8 engine displacing 903 BHP.

The best part about the P1 is the electric motors along with the petrol engine and this enhances efficiency as well performance by quite a bit. The P1 is capable of reaching a top speed of 218 MPH, which makes it one of the fastest on the planet. News of a new P1 spread like wildfire and people are making enquiries about the news ever since the images were leaked. McLaren says that the company will officially announce and clarify about the situation soon.

The automotive sector is booming with new launches this year and some of the most anticipated vehicles were unveiled along with their class leading technology. A few other class leaders are expected to be unveiled by year end though. The P1 is undoubtedly the biggest crowd puller this year while the Limited Edition Mustang promises to do the same fall 2014. Both cars are amazing in their respective classes and are crowd pullers.
