First Information About The New Renault Kangoo Facelift
|   Wednesday, February 06, 2013
The French carmaker, Renault, launched the current generation of the Kangoo model in 2008. The Renault Kangoo is a van produced by Renault in the MCA factory in Maubeuge, France, and in Santa Isabel, Argentina. Due to the rear doors that open on rollers, the model is used to transport passengers with physical disabilities who are transported in a wheelchair. They are available with a ramp to allow access to the machine.

The little French carrier is a model quite known at a European level and is even the best-selling model in the segment.
In the nearly five years of its career, the French model was able to impose itself on the European commercial vehicle market, and totaled over 400,000 orders.

The model, which will be presented at Geneva (the 83rd edition will take place from March 7 to March 17, 2013), suggests that restyling is here after five years from the onset of the second generation. The front is completely changed, Renault trying to implement the specific details of the brand's new stylistic language.

From time to time, anything that is developing normally needs a new impetus. So, the Kangoo is a new family member that adapts the new Renault design philosophy inspired by Laurens van den Acker and was inaugurated with the new generation of the small Clio.

Applied to all variants and versions, Kangoo Van, Kangoo Maxi ZE and Kangoo Kangoo Maxi ZE, the facelift brings a new front spoiler, a grid dominated by a prominent brand logo and redesigned optical block. Side mirrors were also modified. Significant changes are felt in the interior, where we have a new center console and a new steering wheel. In addition, the materials used in the facelift are of higher quality than those found in the standard version.

The headlights have lost that stunned look of the old model, becoming something more normal. Appearances seem a bit strange, because of the spoiler's black bulk. But for the higher end versions the design will be much more pleasant, with the bumper painted in body color.

Moreover, among the equipment that will be available on the Kangoo facelift we have ESC with assistance on hill and the Extended Grip, and multimedia system with navigation Renault R-Link. The car also benefits from Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

The two variants with different wheelbases will benefit from traditional Renault, although improved, engines. The 1.5-liter dCi diesel powered is available in three versions: the basic one supplies 75 horses, the intermediate 90 and the top reaches 110 horsepower. All motors can be ordered for both the two-seater version and for the five.

In the case of Kangoo ZE electric version, propulsion is provided by the same electric motor, kept alive by a lithium-ion battery located beneath the floor surface. The battery power can be refilled from any household outlet. However, with the facelift the power outlet changed locations. It is no longer on the front wing but now hides behind the logo.

To comply with specific regulations of electric vehicles, but also to protect pedestrians, the Renault Kangoo ZE comes with a mandatory sound asset to speeds of up to 30 km/h.
