Fiat unveils the 2012 Fiat Punto

Fiat unveiled the new 2012 Punto recently and it has undergone quite a few modifications apart from a minor facelift. The car is scheduled to take on the most sensitive section of the market and is poised to top the charts.
The 2012 Fiat Punto is the first super mini to come from the stables of the Italian car maker and this vehicle is high on the style factor as well as performance and luxury.

The car is available in both three doors and five doors version and the car uses the environment friendly range of engines.

The Punto has low emission levels of 100 g/km and the fuel economy rate of the car is also subsequently high. The 2012 Punto is high in safety measures and is one of the most driver friendly cars to have been produced by Fiat.

The model is very simple, yet chic and this helps the car gain mass popularity in the family car segment. Affordability is one of the major factors which affect car sales today and the Punto is highly affordable.
The car is classy, yet simple to look at and the interior is equally appealing. The dash board is well placed and has a classy feel, the material used on the board feels expensive and the seats are well carved and lend a sporty feel to the vehicle.

Fiat introduces the Twin Air technology in the Punto and this is a new range of environment friendly engines from the Italian car maker, developed jointly with Alfa Romeo. The car also has the option of a multi jet diesel engine, depending upon the buyer's preferences.

Safety is a primary concern of any European car maker and Fiat has also introduced a number of safety features in the Punto. Fiat introduced the dual drive power steering and this gives the driver increased control over the vehicle.

The car features the braking assist technology and this gives the electronics of the car, the power to brake in time in case the driver fails. The Punto also features the Daytime running light system to help the driver maneuver the car in foggy weathers. The automated lights turn on when the natural light decreases and this uses less power as compared to the normal headlamps.

The car also features front, rear and side air bags to shield the passengers in case of an impact and the advanced ABS of the car also comes in handy is tough road conditions. The car comes with parking sensors, an advanced air conditioning system, an advanced audio output device and automated roof panels.

Apart from the basics, the car also features a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and the electronics of the car is up to date. The chrome plated exhaust pipes and the front grille, give the car a distinct appeal and the interior also has a lot of carbon fiber and aluminum use to reduce the weight of the model.

The car is tech savvy and packs in a lot of features for as little as possible. Fiat hopes to sell the car in mass numbers. The actual sales figure however remains to be seen.
