Fiat Launched The New 500L Living, a Seven-Seater MPV
|   Saturday, June 22, 2013
Fiat unveiled the new 500L Living, the newest member of the 500 range. On a side note, on the sixth anniversary of the new range 500, Fiat launched a seven-seater MPV based on the 500L.

The Italians continue to expand, offering the successful model, this time with a variant that places focus on the inside. Suggestively described as "Magic Purpose Wagon" in the press release, the new 500L Living is actually a variant with increased wheelbase of the current 500L, the family model that already caught on quite well in the Europe.

The new younger brother of the Fiat 500, the 500L Living, is an Italian model that now measures 435 cm long, 178 cm wide and 167 cm high. The 500L Living is 210 mm longer compared to its original, and is 10 mm taller, while having the same width.

We are talking about a minivan that offers seven seats and a car trunk rated at an impressive 638 liters. The new model takes over the engines from the 500L range, 500L's design and interior items from the 500 to create a minivan that will celebrate six years since the onset of the new 500line. The folks at Fiat say that the model is the shortest in the MPV segment with seven seats, despite the fact that it offers a modular spacious trunk.

Making its debut next month, the new car has the same charm as the 500, meaning it has the agility of a city car, the size of a mid-size car, and the comfort and contents belonging to a C Segment station wagon, plus the space and the versatility of an MPV. All that comes from Fiat itself.

The 500L Living will include two trim levels, Pop Star and Lounge, both offered in the five seat version and in versions with seven seats. Customers will benefit from 19 body shades, of which 11 are combinations of two colors. Inside, the customers have a choice of six colors and combinations of colors, while the range of alloy wheels offers 15 different models.

Customization possibilities are quite high, forming in total no less than 282 possible combinations, enough to satisfy most pretentious clients. The list of equipment includes a navigation system, a rearview camera and the possibility of ordering a leather interior.

The engine range of the new Italian MPV is taken directly from the 500L. The basic version will have a 1.4 aspirated engine fueled by gasoline that delivers 95 hp. The second engine in the range is the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo unit that delivers 105 hp. Two diesel engines will be offered with the 500L Living: the 1.3 Multijet II and 1.6 Multijet II, which deliver 85 respectively 105 hp. Fiat will offer the new 500L Living in Italy starting July.

Subsequently, the lists of commands will be open for other markets, on which the Italian brand activates. Production will be provided by the Fiat factory in Kragujevac, Serbia.
