End of the road for a unique compilation of cars in 2013
|   Saturday, October 05, 2013
Every year, with release of new models of car, there is a ray of happiness amongst all the automobile enthusiasts across the world. There is, however, a bit sadness buried beneath it, because as every year comes to an end, production of some models of relatively old cars comes to a stop, permanently. This year is going to be no exception as some of the more popular and efficient cars say goodbye to the manufacturing industry.

Acura ZDX is one of many that are going out.
It had some great features and high level of comfort, combining different features of a sedan, a coupe and a sports utility vehicle. It was, however, never very popular, and thus bids goodbye.

Aston Martin Virage goes out of production at the end of this year after just 18 months from coming into the market. From beginning, it marked a bit of uncertainty, being squeezed in the narrow gap between DBS and DB9.

Cadillac Escalade EXT is yet another car that has reached the end of road. It has been in the market for 11 long years and has been moderately successful, but as nothing lasts forever, this luxury pickup also screeches to a halt.

Chevrolet Avalanche marked the starting of an era in which focus of trucks was shifted from moving only inanimate objects to humans as well. However, it has lived its life and now makes place for newer and better models.

Chevrolet Corvette is being sidetracked as a new car from the manufacturer, Chevrolet Stingray comes into market. Both the Z06 and ZR1 of Corvette are going to be replaced with this single car, Stingray.

Fisker Karma, the plug in hybrid car designed to promote alternative plug in hybrid technology also is going to go out of production this year. It has not at all served the purpose it was created for, but still was a good step as far as design is concerned.

Ford Mustang BOSS 302 is a legend. It was going to be of sale for two years only, a time period decided right at beginning of sale. It has been a part of the market with glory and pride.

Nissan Altima Coupe is showing the fate of two door coupes. With this car going out from the market, Honda Accord is going to be the last two door coupe in market.

Toyota Matrix is another car that has reached the end of road. The list gets longer with cars that never really managed to make a mark. This car, however, has been a survivor and struggled through time to come this long.

Volvo C30 was a good car with almost all the qualities of a good luxury automobile. The only problem with it was the size, and it was difficult to overlook. Hence, it is thrown out of production.

Volvo C70 was designed and released in 1998 and has made it to 2013. It was about time that Volvo ended its production and moved on.
