Economic slump: delay in Fiat, Volkswagen and Ford\'s small car launch
|   Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Due to economic breakdown in the world, the auto market is also suffering a lot. Thus the top car makers in the market such as Ford, Fiat and Volkswagen are getting delayed in their new launch of small segment cars in the market. They have made the delay for 6 to 12 months. When we speak about the brand Volkswagen, it reminds me about the German mechanism. The entry level cars in fiat are also very remarkable. The variation of cars in Hyundai such as Hyundai i-10 and A star has got a wonderful market.
Due to such a wonderful response from the customers, the car makers have a desire to launch more cars of small segments. But the economic breakdown of the nation has brought a nasty picture.

A side of 20% in INR against a dollar as well as Euro is successful to make the plan of car makers upset. They are really confused about the rate they wish to provide for the particular vehicle. They have a strong thought that, people will be unable to meet economic crises and book a brand new car. The car makers are not sure whether they will be able to make profit from the car sold in such a stage.

The car maker named Volkswagen had an intention to launch its UP model in the year 2014. But now due to economic break down they have stopped the launch. Rather, they have stated not to take the vehicle into the public display before 2015. This was a statement agreed and stated by three people associated with the development.

Due to depreciation of rupee, the imports of different vehicle parts have become really expensive. The manufacturing concerned named Volkswagen has yet to think about establishing a manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. They have not yet decided about the fact just due to the reason that, they are still unaware whether they will be capable of meeting the cost of company.

There was a negotiation with the state government of Maharashtra along with the makers of the car plant. The new was also been published about the key vendors concerning with the cost workshop in Chennai. Ford also has a hope to sale more of new small cars in the Indian market. The standard of the car and the service provided by each outlet will contribute each customer with satisfaction. But even then there is a hidden cause of depreciation in money value. This is really a serious problem related to car manufacturing concern.

The cost workshop is really an important venture as the top officials from South east Asia and US have come down to India for getting an analysis of the problem solving element. The vendors are suggested to take a relook at the cost of the car. The VW also have no comments with regards to the time line of launching the vehicle. The spokesman also kept his mouth shut regarding the price quote. A news about 3,800 crore investment is heard.
