Down fall in the sales of Petrol cars in India
|   Saturday, June 02, 2012
Current statistics shows that overall sale of petrol cars has decreased up to a great extent since the price of petrol has increased up to a great extent. Indian news channels time to time broadcast various news on this topic. They have shown that India is a place where majority of people prefer to buy small size cars. This is mainly because of the reason that their budget doesn't allow them to go for big cars with high price. Such peoples have now started focusing on diesel cars, since price of petrol has repeated approximately 20 times in past four years.

According to records of some of the past years, various companies are claiming that they are facing lot of issues with the sale of petrol cars in India. According to them, even after putting lot of sincere efforts they are not able to convince the customers to buy their petrol cars. They have kept the price of petrol cars quite low but still they are not able to hike the sales of petrol cars.

According to the latest news, Indian automakers and foreign automakers in India has started focusing on the diesel versions. They are going to stop exporting some of the petrol cars in India. Also they have decided to cancel the launching of various upcoming models of their cars that were about to launch soon. This is according to news recently shown on an Indian news channel where the topic was highlighted in an excellent way.

The reports have clearly indicated the effects of increase in price of petrol. The availability of less number of petrol cars in the latest auto expo in the capital New Delhi is an excellent example of this. According to the auto expo India, the overall number of upcoming petrol cars in current auto expos has been decreased as compare to availability of same in old auto expos.

According to some of the reports the hike in demand of diesel versions has created another issue for the automakers, and that is maintenance. Various reports and data records have shown that maintenance of diesel cars is more than petrol cars. For this reason the automakers have to spend more expenses on spare parts, offering services to the clients as well as increase manpower expenses.

Various automakers have conducted several meetings in this matter in order to find out an effective solution to this issue. Still they are not getting any favorable fortune in this matter. According to some of the recent articles published on some websites, the Indian automakers are also trying to convenience central government to limit the price of petrol. Also they have mentioned that government of India is having lot of concerns with this issue. They are somewhere not able to put a limit on the price of petrol.

Some foreign automakers in India are claiming central government for putting huge taxes on petrol. According to them, sales of their petrol cars have down just because of this policy of government of India.
