Dodge Charger Pursuit sets the fastest lap among AWD cars in MSP test
|   Thursday, October 10, 2013
After a test drive of dodge charger all wheel drive version under the Michigan State Police test for the fastest pursuit car the car recorded the fastest lap time ever set by an all wheel drive car. This car is second on the all time list only to its rear wheel drive version. With Dodge Charger pursuit bragging about its lap timing, Chrysler is sure to have their tails high.

This car set a lap time of 1:33:85 which is a little slower than the rear wheel drive version that has a record time of 1:33:70.
That time was set as a benchmark in 2012. It is a HMEI powered sedan that that has been paired with a 370 HP V8 engine. The all wheel drive system in this car is simply extraordinary.

Specialty of the car is that the car has both all wheel drive as well as rear wheel drive assistance system. When required you can easily change to all wheel drive system and if not required then this car automatically shifts to rear wheel drive version. This improves the fuel efficiency of the car making it a master class.

Among other attractive features of this car is that the car can come from a speed of 62 MPH to a complete stop in just 127 feet space. Another version of this car is available in 292 HP powered V6 engine. This car has been made to perform its best on the highway. Its 14.5 inch rotors provide extra braking assistance to this incredible sedan.

Some of the mechanism in Dodge Charger is historic. They date back to the 1995-2002 Mercedes Benz W210 mechanism. It was adopted by Chrysler when the Daimler-Chrysler tie up happened. Even though the tie up no longer exists, Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger are two cars that are still built with the mechanism used in that era.

The mechanism of this car has been proven over time. Now with the latest records standing in favor of them they can boast as much as they want. The $MATIC system that was used then is still used in these cars to give them an added advantage over other cars.

With record timing the company is looking to improve more on braking, acceleration, power and dynamics of this car to make it a world class pursuit car. They intend to set this as a benchmark in motoring industry. This car is simply a combination of the world's best technology.

To reach this spot this car had a tough test in the face of Ford Police Interceptor sedan. Ford Interceptor was previously best until being dethroned by Dodge Charger. Last year Dodge had a disadvantage that Ford was using an AWD system which they did not have. Now with the AWD system working perfectly Ford no longer stands as a competition to Dodge Charger. The results are still left to be declared by MSP.
