Dissatisfied Chinese Tesla Owner Smashes Windshield Immediately after Accepting Delivery
|   Thursday, July 03, 2014
A Chinese eCommerce entrepreneur took a wrench and smashed the front windshield of his Tesla Model S, which was just delivered to his doorstep. Yu Xinquan later said that it was a mark of protest against the American car making company, as Tesla's arrogance angered him.

The Model S, which costs around a Million Yuan (nearly $173,600), is currently the world's most popular electric supercar. People at Tesla's local facility was not available for comment immediately, despite our relentless efforts to get in touch.

Mr. Yu was part of a group of disgruntled customers, who were upset due to Tesla continuous delay in delivery. Tesla was expected to start delivering their vehicles by April 2014, although, things did not go as planned. This resulted in a delay, which angered customers. However, a meeting with Elon Musk, Tesla's Chief Executive Officer later resolved all issues. Mr. Yu's actions have been tagged as a publicity stunt by a certain section of viewers.
