|   Saturday, February 09, 2013
The Dacia Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 has just been unveiled and this vehicle is set to be at the bottom of the lineup, priced at £5995. An upgraded ride will feature additional luxury features such as a stereo device, spare wheel etc. and these come at an additional cost of £300. However, the base model is innovative enough and people could consider purchasing this model as it serves all the basic needs.

Standard 15 inch rims and black bumpers have been added to the body kit while the safety enhancement kit includes ABS, traction control, power steering, ISOFIX, Stability control, driver, passenger and side air bags etc.
Split folding rear seats along with a power steering and an immobilizer with an alarm has also been included in the kit and these additional measures make the Dacia Sandero a complete vehicle.

The Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 does not resemble UK's cheapest car from any direction, in fact people could find this hard to believe. The car instills a sense of rugged beauty and is a great car to be used daily. Super minis and value for money cars are in huge demand nowadays and the European emission laws being quite strict, most of the cars are economical vehicles, fulfilling more fuel economy and CO2 emission standards.

The 1.2 liter engine installed in the Dacia Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 is quite economical and provides fuel efficiency figures close to 42 MPG. Displacing 74 BHP @ 5500 RPM along with 109 ft lbs of torque @ 4250 RPM, the performance figures of the vehicle is not quite exciting. 0 – 60 MPH is achieved in close to 14.5 seconds while the vehicle sports a top speed of 97 MPH.

To make the Dacia Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 suitable for use inside the city perimeter, the vehicle has been tuned to operate to its maximum potential below the 2000 RPM mark. This is perfect for use within the city and the low weight of the vehicle makes traction quite effective and increased road grip by a huge margin.

The Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 is quite effortless around bends and corners although straight roads present a challenge as the Sandero is not a very powerful car. Steering precision is better than most vehicles in its segment and the Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 presents a decent ride precision. The cabin is quite efficient considering the price point and the features have been adequately installed keeping in mind the major attributes of the vehicle.

The only downside of this cheap vehicle is the low budget motor installed on the vehicle. The higher priced vehicles feature better refined and more powerful engines although the same cannot be expected off the Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75. The interior however does not feel cheap and the vehicle features a few additional dimensions which work wonders for the vehicle. However, how the Sandero Access 1.2 16V 75 fares on the NCAP test is what needs to be gauged at the moment.
