Cute but racy - 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth
|   Tuesday, September 10, 2013
Another year, another Fiat 500 Abarth! The one prepared for 2014 comes up with an expanded color series, improved design for the passenger seats and new wheels. Both 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth and 500C Abarth look very modern and daring and represent the improved versions of the base engine 500 versions.

The Italian car manufacturer has targeted a specific type of driver: young but stylish, dynamic and, most likely, living in the urban area. The design of the new vehicle almost screams these attributes as it is totally described by "urban" and "stylish".

Yet, the main design which has been chosen for the two vehicles is quite sporty and has definitely been inspired from a race car design. The vertical profile looks compact but it contrasts nicely with the suspensions which have been moved a bit lower.

Mini Cooper's revival has definitely ambitioned Fiat to release a precise, retro chic vehicle which would be more appealing to the young, American drivers. This way, the 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth is going to be an exciting and eagerly awaited release.

A bit more catchy, the Fiat 500C Abarth is indeed a vehicle that is going to impress. The opening roof detail seems so fun to have for the summer time when driving on the sea side with a pair or sunglasses on; it is definitely going to be an important criterion for most of the youngsters who are craving for a very cool, yet easy to drive, car.

Both available in several different shades and combinations, including striping and different color for the roof top, the upcoming models also feature improved, luxurious interior design. The change includes new armrests for the passenger seats and adjustable headrest for the driver's seat.

All wrapped in stitched leather, the seats have a smooth, elegant touch which is quite unexpected for such a tiny vehicle. However, the expected features such as Bluetooth integration and TomTom navigation unit are, of course, included, along with a large number of other hi tech options: performance seating, full multimedia system, BLUE&ME Handsfree Communication, USB Port and iPod control.

In addition to all these options, the 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth is a incredible performing car as MultiAir turbocharged engine is actually able to produce 170 pound-feet of torque and reach 160 hp at 2,500 rpm. Quite impressive! Also, it should be able to easily reach 129 mph, as top speed. The modified dual exhaust pipes make the engine profile quite exclusive.

However, the only transmission that is available for this upcoming model is the five-speed manual one, quite useful for speeding but not a joy when on the highway.
Safety features have also received a lot of modifications and upgrades and the rating must have already surpassed the previous "Good" score obtained last year when the vehicle has been tested by the Chrysler crash experts.

The main competitor of the 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth is the Ford Fiesta ST and Mini Cooper Cabrio. But the big Fiat 500 motor together with the affordable price would definitely make it a favored. Although an official starting price has not been disclosed yet, we assume that the new model will not cost a lot more than the previous one.
