Chevrolet unveils the new 2014 Malibu
|   Tuesday, October 15, 2013
Chevrolet has announced the public debut of the new version of Malibu for the beginning of 2014. The new vehicle is actually an improved 2013 version but due to all the changes that were brought, the 2014 Malibu is going to be released as a totally new car. And this is partially true as the exterior has received a brand new make over while the interior and the powertrain have been better equipped and updated.

All the Chevy fans will be very satisfied with the long list of improvements which have been brought by the engineers to the new vehicle.
This is actually such a great strategy to fill up the gaps left by the 2013 model of Chevrolet Malibu.

As part of a totally new lineup, the 2014 Malibu is going to feature the redesigned fascia which has been included on multiple other models. The slightly adjustment of the spacing and height of the grille have completely changed the overall appearance of the new vehicle. Also, the hood is more curved and the lower grille has been enlarged and defined.

For a more edgy effect, the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu has received a couple of more fancy features such as foglamps and headlamps which paired with the new, redesigned nose offer an absolutely daring touch.

The profile of the car will remain pretty much unchanged but due to the fact that the wheels will be 18 inch alloy, the appearance could be a bit different. The customers can also choose 19 inch wheels no matter if the keep the standard engine variant of 2.5 liter.

Although the standard engine performance is 2.5 liter, the quality of the ride has definitely been improved throughout the body roll improvements that were brought. The result is a very precise feel while driving, the car is going to offer that security and control feeling everyone is looking for.

As a mid size sedan, the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu is going to be a competitor of Honda Accord, Nissan Altima or Ford Fusion. However, the interior of the new Chevy will definitely draw the attention and the comfortable driving experience will make the drivers appreciate it.

Those interested in hybrid versions of mid size sedans should be very happy to find out the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu is also going to be available in the 2.4 liter eAssist model of mild hybrid. Paired with a six speed automatic transmission, the 2.4 version will actually be able to reach the performance of the 2.5 one but with less appetite for fuel.

General Motors has ranked the 2014 Malibu at 25 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, although just a bit lower than the last year's model, the company representatives ensure their customers that the new performance is not exactly reflected in these calculations.
What is more, the new E-assist battery system will surely make the difference and, therefore, it is going to be included on several other models which are going to be released in the future.
