Cadillac Plans on Unveiling the 2015 Escalade
|   Tuesday, October 15, 2013
Cadillac has revealed the latest version of its Escalade, for exclusive sales in European countries. Cadillac claims that the vehicle is in its end stage of production and should be available across showrooms by the end of this year. This vehicle is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine although engine configuration and displacement amounts are yet to be finalized. Cadillac however claims that their newest venture will be more powerful than any of their vehicles in the past.

Cadillac has worked on the suspension of this vehicle while additional Magnetic Ride Control delivers better handling and comfort for optimum drive pleasure and dynamics. Cabin space has increased and this is a boon for the needs of larger family segments. Cadillac is offering upgraded trim on this vehicle while standard wood and leather is offered on all variants.

Cadillac claims that they have worked on cabin comfort and privacy and hence its cockpit is sound proof than before. Advanced Noise Cancellation Technology along with a rigid body structure have been implemented while this gives Cadillac better chances of attracting customers than most of its European counterparts. The Cadillac Escalade has always been quite popular with masses as well as individuals and agencies.

This is largely owed to the numerous personalization options available. Interiors for example are available in a large variety of options including a 12.5 inch touch screen device along with a roof mounted 9 inch screen for better accessibility and entertainment. Cadillac competes with various global SUV brands such as Range Rover, Ford, Mercedes Benz, Audi, and BMW and with latest competition arising from Bentley and Lamborghini, General Motors found it suitable to replace the current generation of the Escalade with a refined and more appealing version of this vehicle.

Range Rover however poses considerable threat to the Escalade as this is one of the most popular franchises in Europe as well as China. Cadillac has a huge following in American counties. However, Range Rovers are popular in these parts too. However, the same could not be said for European nations. Cadillac confirms that they will start manufacturing their new vehicle in Texas and this car will be based on an extended ELV platform. Chassis modifications are also likely although we are not quite clear what these new modifications might be.

Cadillac is yet to unveil the interior trim of this vehicle and we anticipate an early December reveal. Exterior modifications include minor changes to the front grille, lamps and LED Daytime Running Lights while modifications to its rear have also been made. Cadillac claims that this is the best variant of its Escalade SUV till date, although we are yet to corroborate this claim. We should however get out hands on a prototype before the end of this year. Hence, keep checking this column for latest news and updates. Cadillac and General Motors in general are game for stiff market competition and hence this should make for a decent proposition once the car is unveiled early next year.
