Cadillac enhances the latest performance line
|   Tuesday, September 03, 2013
When everyone thought that Cadillac is a bit behind in terms of performance line if compared with two of the most important rivals – BMW M Sport models and Audi's S packages – the company has wisely decided to extend the new vSport line.

The intention will surely be appreciated by the Cadillac fans who were looking for some changes and updates. The 2014 XTS vSport has just been launched and it seems it is the very first car which has been designed with the latest General Motors' 410 hp and twin turbo V6 engine.

The future generation CTS of the vSport will receive exactly the same type of engine when the new and upgraded sedan will be launched next month.
The Cadillac's V Series will be allocated with vSport line exactly like the racetrack ready cars. Lately, Cadillac has turned into a larger lineup due to the expansion of the incredible performance gear provided by the V Series cars. A good example of such an efficient gear would be the Brembo brakes which have also been included in the vSport series. However, it seems that a just a few customers were aware of them as Cadillac's product direct, Hamp den Tener, has declared.

VSport will be available in two options, Platinum or Premium. Of course, the Premium is cheaper, starting at $63,020 shipping included, unlike the base XTS which stars at $45,525.

On the other hand, the Platinum model should be available at a base price of $70,020 shipping included. Also, this price should also include the extra accessories such as extended sunroof between the rear and front of the car and suede headliner.

One great innovative feature that will be featured by the vSport trims is the electronic limited slip differential which actually is a 12 inch color screen display, including the main buttons. Hamp den Tener has also stated that the vSport series is a good opportunity for the company to gather all the hi-tech components in order to better appeal to the new market lately hungry for gadgets and communication.

V series versions might also get the high trim package as the current plan of action has been designed in such a way as to update both SRX crossover and Escalade SUV by introducing several other nameplates and performance enhancements.

vSport would be the great chance of turning the V Series into more a more sporty and dynamic version, this way the V Series will remain the same and the new vSport will be the one to appeal to the more energetic customers. This would be the strategy shared by Tener in regards to the vSport series.

One of the first vehicles featuring vSport is the 2014 Cadillac CTS V Sport which was first revealed to the public in March 2013 and it seems that it has been declared on of the competitors of BMW. The company is ready to take the challenge and declare this model as absolutely prepared to compete with BMW 528i.
