By due 2018, Holden could get German-built new flagship SUV

As when General Motor's parent company boss confirmed that, production of models would be started by Opel by 2018, the Holden before decade end might get German-built new flagship SUV. Mary Barra, GM's CEO unveiled that; "New SUV will be built in Russelsheim headquarters, Germany, similar to Opel sister brand of Holden and it will be alongside with Insignia the second flagship of the brand."

As the General Motors plans for continuing with the Buick and Opel brands further align, it logically seems that this new flagship SUV of Opel will be making transatlantic swim towards North America.
Mary Barra revealed very less information about this crossover. Although, when it's said flagship it make think of full size that meant a question arise the model could be measure in length 16 feet or rough size figure of recent Buick's Enclave.

It been chalked that its upgrades for the transmission facilities and engines were further made investment of more than the 727$ at the Russelsheim Tychy and Kaiserslautern as commitment mark to future fuel efficient future-proofed powertrain and also the Opel brand, General Motor's said. This Opel second flagship model will be sold in United Kingdom as well as in Europe with a Vauxhall badge.

In the month of June it was been announced that it will be seen the car makers by 2018 introduce new 17 engines and 27 models which the SUV will be forming mid-term Opel's product offensive part. According to GM's announcement, in March there will be around $356million (Euro 245million) investment done into Russelsheim plant. Also, to accommodate new SUV it is expected much to fund of its expansion.

For Holden it will be welcome news with impending arrival of new SUV flagship, which moved this year to make strong ties with the German sibling. According to CarAdvice, in January Holden is up-to plan for re-introducing European models of Opel-produced in many numbers. Also, unveiled last month that future model of Holden with from three models more than the one will be sourced line-up from Opel.

However, the company has committed to bring over the three-door Astra GTC and hot-hatch VXR, also next year the Cascada and Insignia VXR convertible to the market. Beyond that seriously it also considered the five-door usual Astra, city-sized Corsa and people-mover Zafira. From European injection it will greatly benefit the SUV line-up for Holden. The strongest offering is the Trax sub-compact and the Euro-designed model, whereas Colorado 7 and Captiva 5 also 7 are humbled with better competitors in all their respective segments.

During September Captiva 7 camouflaged prototype was been captured undergoing test which suggested that company is on final update preparation due to the next year for ageing model before in 2016/2017 it introduce the all-new model. In Australia, SUV's are in more demand and its segment are growing this year with 5.3% rise in market which is 1.9% down. Compared to 48.0% passenger cars the SUV makes up-to 31.4%, whereas Holden boast passenger segment 11.4% share and its SUV at 6.7% shares languishes.
