Buick Launches Refreshed Versions of the Regal and Regal GS for 2014
|   Saturday, September 21, 2013
Buick has refreshed its plans on venturing back into the mid ranged luxurious sedan segment. Buick first introduces its Regal and Regal GS back in 2011 while a range of modifications had been carried onto the vehicle later on. However, with an increase in overall demand and competition in this segment, Buick had to discontinue its vehicle. However, tides have turned now while Buick plans on reintroducing its Regal and Regal GS into its lineup once again.

Audi has come up with a range of class leading sedans in recent times and this has forced Buick to think about its prospect in the current market. Drive tests have been conducted on its latest Regal and Regal GS and both these vehicles have managed to impress masses with their functionality, style and practical approach. Design wise, this vehicle is a masterpiece and apart from just looking good, this car actually has practical usage.

Another factor in favor of this vehicle is its revised price range. Buick has thought about its vehicles and the current market does not have the capability to house a car such as the Regal and the Regal GS with its original price tag. This is sure to help the car gain momentum in terms of sales once it is officially launched.
Modern modifications on this vehicle include Haldex's new all wheel drive technology while handling has improved since the last generation. A 2.0 liter turbo

charged petrol engine is the powerhouse behind this vehicle while this is a refined version of its original power train, which was customized for the latest generation. This segment is mostly dominated by Audi, Mercedes Benz and BMW, apart from a range of other Asian brands. American sedan brands are not very popular worldwide.

Hence, Buick will have a tough time convincing foreign customers to try out their products. Buick was generally known as the old man's car due to its lack of performance parameters and old and boxy exterior design. This is however what the company is trying to break out of at the moment with its latest creation and we hope this brings new competition on this saturated segment.

The Regal GS has been further modified and this makes it a class leader at the moment. Specifications of this vehicle however remain to be revealed, hence we can just envisage at the moment. Front and rear wheel drive trains are expected on both these cars even though the first generation vehicles are not expected to sport this feature. All engine options are expected to be mated to a six speed automatic transmission system while manual alternatives are available on request.

Buick plans on upholding its drive ergonomics although external modifications have been carried out to give these cars a modern look and feel. The new engine lineup is expected to be their savior and numerous modifications have been made to the car in that respect. Driving is hence expected to have been enhanced while we cannot wait to get behind the wheels of one of these beauties.
