Brand New Skoda Fabia to be released in 2014
|   Saturday, August 24, 2013
The new model of Skoda Fabia has already been sported on the road! However, the car was all in disguise on a road test, pretending to be Volkswagen Polo. Eager customer should wait just a little bit as the new vehicle is just a couple of months away from its formal showcase date. The latest Skoda Fabia model is a lot like the new Skoda Rapid and Octavia, neatly displaying a conservative, yet, essential external design.

The petrol engine which will be incorporated on the new Skoda Fabia comes in three cylinder 999ccm version and it will feature a power range raise from 60hp to 75hp.
The exactly same version has already been included in Volkswagen Up! and Skoda Citigo. The surprise is that a TSI variant, which includes turbocharging and direct injection, will increase the horsepower up to 90hp.

The new engine was designed in such a way as to reduce the fuel consumption by 15% and this is one great achievement as the new vehicle will actually spend up to 1 liter less fuel than the previous model.

Skoda's chief designer Jozef Kaban has disclosed the fact that the design that is currently chosen for the new Skoda Fabia is one of the most show off models featuring a broad front grille and bent headlight and some LED tail lamps. The Monte Carlo special edition models have clearly set an example for the new Skoda Fabia as the new vehicle will be available in sets of contrasting colors for the roof tops. It also seems that the new model will keep the same strong and chunky appearance.

By releasing another model that keeps the key design elements which have been previously used, the company tries to perpetuate a traditional, recognizable style for the entire series. Jozef Kaban has stated that choosing to smoothly standardize the Skoda looks is just another strategy to keep the brand as unite as a family.
The 2014 Skoda Fabia will feature the new Golf's MQB underpinnings unlike the previous series in the same size range which have been using VW's PQ24 platform or PQ25 in case of Audi A1 and SEAT Ibiza.

The tests which were run so far indicate that the new Skoda Fabia will actually have somewhat longer wheelbase if compared with the current model of Volkswagen Polo. This will guarantee a revised rear legroom and greater stability for the new vehicle.
In order to appeal to the central Europe market requests and not only satisfy the UK demands, Skoda will probably drop the sporty crown jewel. Alternatively, a brand new scope of diesel and petrol engines will be manufactured. They will, of course, meet the Euro 6 emissions requirements so that they will be ready for the market at the beginning of 2015.

The public exposure of the new Skoda Fabia is most likely to happen at the Paris Motor Show in 2014, however, it seems that only the concept version will be presented. The actual sale release of the vehicle will start in 2015.
