BMW X7 Seems Ready To Hit The Roads Featuring An Amazing Design!
|   Friday, September 30, 2016
The anticipation for the BMW X7, the largest BMW’s SUV, reached high levels and the latest speculation about its design aesthetics announces a distinct personality from X5.

AutoGuide.com site presented a new series of digital illustrations, signed Tobias Buttner, which give a hint to the design of BMW X7.
The elements that get the spotlight are the laser headlights and prominent grille taken from the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept and the OLED stop lights with L-shaped chrome molding crossing the body over the side skirts, as well as in the case of BMW 7 Series saloon.

The largest SUV of the Bavarian brand will be launched in 2018 and will have a distinct design. Incidentally, Ian Robertson, member of the Board of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing BMW, said at this year's Motor Show in New York that, from the aesthetic point of view, the X7 will not be a lengthened X5.
But as rumors circulated, the next generation of X5 and X7 will share elements of the technical platform. Both models are currently being tested on the roads in the form of prototypes in various stages of development.

X7 will compete in the luxury SUV segment, where its main rivals will be cars like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover.
It seems that BMW plans to offer two versions of X7. In addition to the standard 7 seats version, Ian Robertson said that there will be a variant which will put an even greater emphasis on luxury. According to US magazine Car and Driver, the model will have a four-seat configuration.
Also, BMW X7 is expected to be offered in versions with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and engines and transmissions will most likely be borrowed from the new generation of the 7-Series and 5-Series sedans.

A hybrid alternative is also very plausible, taking into account the strategy of BMW to develop the iPerformance model range.
Considering that luxury SUVs with top engines are successful in the United States, V12 power unit of M760Li xDrive model is very likely to be proposed.
However, the US market preferences will weigh heavily on X7 configuration.
At the same time, BMW confirmed they will build the X7 model in its plant in Spartanburg, USA.
