BMW X6 Receives New BMW M Performance Components
|   Tuesday, December 16, 2014
Through the Aerodynamics package, the BMW X6 has instantly gained a sporty and masculine appearance. It includes a front splitter, rear diffuser, rear carbon spoiler as well as rear side flaps in a glossy black hue. These facilities are complemented by handmade BMW M Performance carbon rear caps. The radiator grille with a black blades frame provides an additional option for your X6 customization.

Also, customers can opt for one of the four 21-inch wheels variants, made of light alloy and coming in two colors, equipped with runflat tires, all of which emphasize the sporty look of the BMW X6 and give the car an extra dose of personality.
Moreover, these wheels are 1.5 kilograms lighter, compared with standard light alloy wheels thanks to a special production process. We also have the stainless steel BMW M Performance exhaust system which has two chrome tailpipes, looking like a trapezoidal V8.

Another highlight of the new accessories range for the interior of the BMW X6 is the BMW M Performance steering wheel, dressed in Alcantara with carbon trim. It provides a good adherence even in extreme driving situations, and remains gentle regardless of temperature.
The central red marker on the top provides a true picture of motorsports, like the BMW M Performance stainless steel pedal covers and footrest, which visually and functionally complement other interior M Performance components.

The new M Performance key sleeve continues the theme. With the sophisticated combination of Alcantara and M Light Blue carbon accents and the hexagonal shape, it blends perfectly with a sporty and dynamic design of the new BMW M Performance components. However, the BMW M Performance floor mats are easy to maintain and complement the sporty look of the interior.

In addition to the Sporty design of the BMW X6, the new range of BMW M Performance components includes two Power kits, for performance enhancement. The power Kit for the BMW X6 xDrive30d increases vehicle power and torque from 190 kW / 258 hp and 560 Nm to 204 kW / 277 hp and 585 Nm, while the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h is faster by 0.2 seconds over the standard value. The main changes include a new control unit with revised data for the motor and additional hardware, such as an upgraded intercooler.

Also, the Power kit has larger front brake discs (18 inches), which provide improved braking. The power Kit for the BMW X6 xDrive35i sees power and torque rise from 225 kW / 306 hp and 400 Nm, to 240 kW / 326 hp and 450 Nm, improving acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h by 0.5 seconds to the standard model. The increased power is accompanied by a sportier acceleration tuning, which provides faster response and an optimized sound engine plus exhaust. Remarkably, both the Power kits offer the same level of fuel consumption and emissions as the standard version of the model, despite the increase in performance.

All measurements such as motor data, vehicle speed, extreme values, gear used at a specific time, use of brakes and throttle, and even lateral acceleration are stored directly in the driver's smartphone / tablet, and can be accessed at any time. After each trip, the driver can study the results directly on his smartphone and improve his driving style.
