BMW I series, the first green car
|   Saturday, October 13, 2012
BMW is pretty keen on green drive. Anywhere on the earth, green drive is a much preferred technology than the gasoline powered cars. The reason behind this is global warming and the gasoline`s contribution in pollution after combustion. The power behind the steering is missing in the green cars but yet the consumption of the natural resources is widely reduced.
Though the consumption of electricity is increased in some other way which again arises in a contradiction in the use of coal, the answer to it is using solar electricity.

BMW and Naturstrom of Germany have tied up to make electric vehicles which will run on 100% green and renewable electricity.
Germany is the best place to start such initiatives as they have the best solar power mechanisms. BMW car owners will be benefitted as they will be given the option to go for the customized green pack. BMW is planning to introduce their first green car, the BMW I, fall 2013.

As per the management the company is very keen in manufacturing the green cars. They want the conservation of energy. The partnership with Naturstrom has proved to be effective in production of 100 % natural renewable source of energy.

The future plan as proposed by the BMW management is car owners can go with a solar cells at the roof of the car, to regain the energy which is lost. As the car runs, the cells will absorb the energy and then store it.
Mechanism to convert the same into electricity will be available with a kit. The same will be installed at a very nominal price in the BMW I series. Germany in any cases has a 100 % solar power generation capacity per capita which will help the mechanism to be materialized.

Speaking in terms of sales BMW has done pretty well. The September sales have increased up to 11.6 % in global sales. The first nine months has recorded sales of 1.35 million. The previous year figures were about 1.23 million. In general when a comparison arises, it is seen that Mercedes is far away to near the figure.

The initial nine months have recorded a sale of 964000 cars. Naturstrom is believed to be the leading in terms of the renewable energy makers. The tie up is expected to produce successful results. With the introduction of BMW I series, the sales figure is expected to hit the best and will turn all the records.

The "I" series from BMW will meet all the sedan features which are available in the luxury class. The interiors are pretty decorative with the wood finished steering. The leg space is pretty good. The tag of keeping the sustainability of the world is expected to be there.

The global innovation series with its launch is expected to rock the roads throughout the globe and people will prefer to drive green car because of the comfort and the renewable concept of energy. The cabin will however be small as compared to the other vehicles in the BMW series.
