BMW discloses price and release date for i8
|   Tuesday, August 20, 2013
The new i8 is most likely to be released on the market at the end of 2013, initially evaluated at £100,000. After it has gone through several test drives, the i8 model of BMW has been classified as an easy to drive and versatile car and this is not only a statement concluded in comparison with several other green car models.

Regarding the looks, i8 has gained the lust of impressive looks lovers and has proved to be even more functional as the range was increased with 300 mile plus.
The steady steering was evaluated as constant and light. The power of the electric motor can support maximum torque from zero revs and together with the controlled petrol engine create and incredibly fast i8 that can smoothly reach 110mph.

The charging supporting structure does not seem to be decisive for i8 as it used to be for BMW i3 because the battery can now be brought to life is just about three hours.

The price that was made public, although it might seem a bit too much, it can be the correct price for a car that could actually turn into what BMW would best deliver so far in a contemporary sports car.

Expected to be seen on the road at the end of this year, BMW i8 is a genuine sports car which features hybrid electric powertrain.
This new vehicle has been integrated a 1.5 liter three cylinder petrol engine which is able to provide 300 Nm of torque. The Birmingham BMW plant, Hams Hall, is proud to produce the engines for this series. Regarding the speed, BMW i8 should be able to reach 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds, just as dual clutch BMW M3. What is more, the vehicle is expected to have an average of 104.6 mpg – this is due to the light overall planning.

Some may say that the BMW i8 looks a lot like Lamborghini but the inside is totally different as the i8 will have full sized seats for the front while the rear part will remain quite narrow. The other design features such as bold spoilers will stay the same. A convertible i8 was also announced for release at some point in 2014.
The stability of the i8 was long studied and the weight was finally distributed as 50:50 in such a way as to create outstanding agility. However, if we ignore the traction control, the vehicle might seem a rear drive car.

We are sure that BMW i8 is indeed a very strong car, but we are all longing to hear what the incredible powertrain will sound like.
It is believed that the i8 looks will act as a standard pattern for the future BMW models as Ian Robertson, global head of sales and marketing, has recently stated. Designed as a totally different sub-brand, the "i" will be promoted by a bunch of specialized, new dealers throughout 46 sales agents only in the United Kingdom.
