BMW car sales are on a high for the first quarter of 2012
|   Wednesday, August 08, 2012
BMW is having the best time in its automotive history with 2012 being its most profitable year so far. The famous car maker has already topped all charts in terms of car sales in the first quarter of the year with the grand total of 135,547 vehicles sold so far. The figures last year for the same time frame was close to 129,201, hence the improvement is visible.

BMW has improved car sales by a margin of 5 percent from the same quarter last year and it has beaten companies such as Rolls Royce and Mini in terms of sheer volume of car sales.
This is also the first time in the company's history that it has managed to sell over a million cars within the first seven months of a year.

BMW is confidant of a successful second quarter as well and high sales are expected from all its models. Some of the models which have been performing better than expected are the newly launched X1, the BMW 7 series and the 6 series Gran Coupe.

The major market which is responsible for this growth is the Asian market. BMW's foray into Asian countries is finally paying off and China is the leading contender for VMW car sales so far. South Africa is also an emerging market with sales increase of close to 12 percent in the first quarter this year.

However, the European market as grown stagnant and if BMW does not come up with some sales plans quickly, they are sure to lose out to competitors in the European market. The American market has been steady for most part of the year with average sales increase of 3.4 percent since last year.

In July alone, 113,253 BMW vehicles were sold worldwide and this is better than previous year's 108,728 vehicles. A total number of 806,372 vehicles have been sold by BMW since the start of the year and this account for a 7.7 percent increase in sales.

Demand for the BMW X3 is rising and 3 door versions of the BMW 1 series hatchbacks are also in demand. Sales figures boomed due to the sudden increase in the demand for the 6 series Gran Coupe and this has been stabilizing BMW sales so far.

BMW has delivered close to over a million vehicles to their respective owners worldwide so far this year and this means that there are over a million happy BMW customers in the world today.

The BMW undertaken Mini Cooper range of vehicles has also witnessed a rise in sales. Standard models like the Mini Countryman are doing well and its entry into the Asian market seems to be doing well for the iconic car makers.

BMW motorcycles are also on a rise with Husqvarna being the latest addition to the crew. Overall BMW has had a fairly successful time this year and the company looks forward to seeing this demand rise by the end of the current financial year. This is definitely good news for the BMW fans.
