Bentley set to launch the next generation Flying Spur
|   Friday, November 16, 2012
Bentley is planning a makeover for the Flying Spur in late 2013 and the vehicle is expected to feature an improvement in performance post this modification. The vehicle already does 200 MPH and with the change in bodywork, engine upgrade and chassis development, the vehicle is expected to challenge the Mercedes Benz S Class directly.

The final look of the model is still unavailable, however a rough model of what the final vehicle could look like has been showcased for the public.
It is an artist's impression and is a perfect work of sculpture and modern engineering. The current platform has been retained on the model and the changes are mostly cosmetic with the exception of a few under the skin changes.

The vehicle is sportier than the current model and the vehicle has a certain refinement to it. The fluidic design on the vehicle is a huge positive point for the vehicle and the primary design cues have been borrowed from the Continental GT and the Mulsanne Concept vehicle. The vehicle looks tighter than its predecessor and it resembles a Coke bottle very closely.

The wheelbase has been carried forward by a margin and as a result the vehicle has a neat finish with hard points on its exterior giving the vehicle a very sporty and up market feel. The interior has also been revamped and as a result the vehicle is mostly chauffeur driven. The Bentley Flying Spur is mostly in demand in the European and Chinese market due to its chauffeur driven styling and is a very popular vehicle for the upper strata of society.

Bentley's styling and comfort is beyond questioning and as a result the vehicle's popularity cannot be questioned. The enhancement has not cost Bentley its interior package and as a result the current model packs in the right amount of performance, comfort and style as any premium segment vehicle.

The improved interior borrows trims from the revamped Mk2 Continental GT Concept and the high quality of the materials with leather trims makes the vehicle even more irresistible. The instrument panel, carpets and leather seats have a very high market feel and comfort is at a peak. Engine refinement is at a whole new level and the engineering work on the Bentley is outstanding.

The vehicle will feature whole new power train features like a 4.0 liter diesel twin turbo V8 engine with an automated eight speed ZF transmission system. The ride quality and suspension have also been improved and the total package is worth the money it will cost. The detailed specifications and pricing has not been disclosed as of yet and there is some time before that happens.

Bentley is working on announcing a launch date for the vehicle and the vehicle will most probably be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 if not at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. There is a high possibility of the vehicle being available across showrooms fall 2015 and an official confirmation from Bentley is what people are waiting for.
