Bentley is planning on showcasing the concept Bentley Continental GT 3 race version. This is a highly advanced machine and is based on the innovative Continental GT 3 Speed, Bentley's flag ship model.

The GT 3 Race concept is set to preview at the Detroit Motor Show 2013 and the vehicle was recently announced at the ongoing Paris International Motor Show 2012. Bentley also plans on showcasing its entire range of high comfort, hand crafted Mulsanne sedan and this vehicle is expected to feature a top speed of 205 mph.

The Continental GT3 Race car is unparalleled till now and Bentley is considering Paris International Motor Show 2012 as an important date as it is set to mark the beginning of a new era of motor sports from Bentley.
Bentley has finally returned to the race track and the GT 3 could prove to be a formidable force in track racing once it is launched on track. The GT 3 makes full use of its DNA sharing with the Continental GT Speed, the fastest Bentley ever designed and this iconic coupe has turned into a statement of speed, performance, luxury and comfort.

The GT 3 Race car features a rear wheel drive chassis with an overall aerodynamic body frame and the vehicle has been tailored to suit the needs of the race track. The iconic W12 engine from Bentley is a revolution since its launch in 2010 and the engine remains the most powerful on a Bentley till date.

The vehicle features agile handling and quick acceleration with a mind boggling top speed and the vehicle is perfect for track racing. The Continental GT Speed and the GT 3 race car features a reworked chassis and hence better drive control.

The GT 3 Race car develops 616 BHP @ 6,000 RPM and 800 Nm of torque @ 2,000 – 5,000 RPM. This compounds to perfect acceleration and speed and the engine is mated to a ZF transmission. The eight speed automatic transmission is perfect for powering the vehicle and the GT 3 Race accelerates from 0 – 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and 10 mph in under 9 seconds.

The muscular, crisp and sculpted exterior design of the GT 3 race features perfect acceleration and the Mulliner Styling Concept provides perfect aerodynamics. The vehicle is 12 percent faster than the street going GT Speed and 10 percent more fuel efficient than the vehicle.
The carbon fiber mirrors, seat cowl, spoiler and rear wings are perfectly suited to the car's aerodynamics and Bentley is offering a new exterior kit for all its Continental GT Speed customers to feature their own personalized vehicles.

The 21 inch sports alloyed rims are an added incentive and the frontal air bags, wings and carbon fiber bezels enhance the appearance and increase the safety of the GT 3 Race. Bentley has not announced the dates of launch as of yet and the specifications of the drive train could differ from the GT Speed. Therefore, official announcements are awaited.
