Bentley GT3-R Continental Reveals its First Review
|   Thursday, October 30, 2014
The GT3-R Continental from Bentley has made its fans talking about it even before its launch. Few believe it will be a road legal competing car with a number plate. Few others believe that it is a going to be a special homologation. Truth is both of those thinking are wrong but it is not a grand tourer as well. The fact about this model is it is an update of Bentley's first manufactured product before 10 years.

This new model has improved in all important aspects like looks, design, faster acceleration, better performance and more comfort to driver and passengers.
It is long runner luxurious and comfortable vehicle which has become silver tongued and stripped out monster. In coming months, Bentley will manufacture a limited numbers of GT3-R models for first season sales. This will be interesting because this model has won the race taken place earlier in this year at Silverstone in the Blancpain Endurance challenge.

However, the company had announced in Paris Auto Show before two years about launching rather a sportier concept which will have better racing functions. At that time it was just a concept to make the Continental GT and now it is officially launched in the motor show. As this car has so much splitters plus rear wing, it inspired very directly not to call it a road running version.

If you glare the vehicle closely you can find the spoiler in an odd position which might make you feel if it is planned or accidently placed here. But actually it is planned to position there which controls the sculpted and lacquered part of carbon fiber. Bentley makers intelligently placed each part in perfect position.

It has a 4.0 liter GT V8 engine under its bonnet which makes it far more responsive and faster. With its new turbo system, it has got a titanium exhaust with a recalibrated new ECU. These in return produce 572 BHP and a torque of 516 LB FT. V8 S makes it a faster vehicle but it is not as fast as W12. However it can outrun any other vehicle of its class as it is 100 kilogram lighter than the standard V8 engine based models.

Its design has been updated quite a bit but the doors are still as heavy as an average hatchback. The windows glaze double times, but the carbon in interior handles and door tops look great in glossy looks. Its suspension has not been changed but the wheels have been made 21 inched and more comfortable than before.

This model will come with a shorter drive ratio, getting top speed of 170 mph which can jump up to zero to 62 miles per hour within four seconds only. Bentley GT3-R is to be counted amongst all the top scorers because of its powerful configuration of 572 BHP and a highest speed of 170 miles per hour. All these facilities are going to be available in this single model at the cost of 237,500 Euros only.
