|   Wednesday, March 05, 2014
Bentley is coming to the Geneva Motor Show with two important updates packs for the Continental GT and Flying Spur. We're talking about a more powerful engine for the Continental GT Speed and about a new engine for the Flying Spur.

The famous Bentley is still a brand that develops around two model lines: the Mulsanne and the Continental family. The Mulsanne, at base, has only one form while the Continental is available in several forms.

The Flying B is offered traditionally with V8 two versions and three W12. These variants were included in three different bodywork styles. At the Geneva Motor Show Bentley adds another 2 versions.

While the Continental GT Speed is the fastest model of the brand, it is even faster thanks to a 6.0-liter W12, with 625 hp, while the Flying Spur will enjoy the power of a 4.0 twin-turbo V8 with 507 hp. The Continental family receives several luxury packages in the list of optionals, while the flagship GT Speed will boast several improvements to the aesthetic level.

Right now, 7 packages are available: Premier Specification (a rear view camera, massaging and ventilated seats), interior Style Specification (contrast stitching for the entire cabin), GT Classic Specification (bright chrome front matrix grilles, veneered door and rear quarter panels), All-Seasons Specification (in-seat neck warmers, removable wind deflector and a heated steering wheel), Mulliner Driving Specification (diamond quilting to seats and doors, a knurled gear lever, drilled alloy foot pedals), GT V8 S Sport Specification (Carbon-Ceramic brakes with red-painted calipers, a Sports exhaust and carbon fiber fascia panels), and lastly the Classic Mulliner Styling Specification (include a front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser all in carbon fiber).

The Continental GT Speed has a maximum torque of 819 Nm and can reach a top speed of 331.5 km / h in a car that weighs 2.3 tons. Convertible version is able to reach 326.7 km / h and remains the fastest four-seat convertible in the world.

In relation to its W12brother, the new Flying Spur V8 is distinguished by a black front grille, chrome exhaust and red background Bentley logo.

The new motorization offers 507 hp and 660 Nm, coupled to a ZF eight-speed transmission, and has an all wheel drive system. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is achieved in 5.2 seconds and top speed is 295 km / h. Thanks to reduced fuel consumption systems, such as cylinder deactivation and recovery of kinetic energy, the theoretical autonomy of this model is 840 km.

Bentley Flying Spur V8's customers can choose from seven exterior colors and four interior colors. Optional list does not exclude an extensive infotainment system dedicated to rear seat occupants called Multimedia Specification.

All these occupants benefit from a touchscreen remote integrated in the rear center console, which controls the infotainment and air conditioning systems.

Customers wanting the Mulliner Driving Specification package can get a sportier interior design, complemented by a set of alloy wheels 20 inches in diameter with five spokes.
