Audi TT ultra Quattro third generation revealed
|   Monday, May 06, 2013
Recently there has been lots of concentration on concepts from the big names in the automobile market. Concept or idea of new cars is unveiled or released way before production of the car starts. This helps build some appreciation and anticipation of the car when it is actually marketed and also judges the demand for specific kind of car that the company is planning to produce.

Audi has always been a big name in the automobile industry. For a long time they have been an integral part of the industry and have consistently produced good cars to hold up the reputation of the brand.
The cars from this company constantly combine class and finesse with high speed and adrenaline rush to produce the best in class driving experience.

Following the trend of concepts in the automobile industry, Audi has also given rise to some marvellous concepts in the recent past. One of the latest innovations in this field from Audi has been the Audi TT ultra Quattro. This car has been inspired by the activity of the brand in motorsport and is hoped to produce great results.

The concept of the car has been basically derived from the Audi TT S Quattro. The car is to be displayed in the 2013 W├Ârthersee enthusiast gathering by Volkswagen, the parent company of the brand Audi. This grand display is going to take place sometime in the first week of May 2013, that is, next month.

The importance of this production or concept is the venture of the brand into lightweight construction. The concept will familiarise the potential customers to this idea and the car will be available in the market in sometime 2014. The car is going to be powered by a turbocharged four cylinder engine with a capacity of 2 litres. It is a known fact that the future of a car largely depends on the engine of the car, and this third generation TT Quattro from Audi surely has one of the best.

The very big change in the third generation TT ultra Quattro coupe is the reduction in weight. A lot of time, effort and thought have been put into finding out measures to reduce the weight of this lightweight construction. Audi has found some success and the weight of the TT ultra Quattro is going to be 1111 kg reducing 299 kg from the existing second generation model of the car.

The power output of the engine fitted in the car is also very impressive. The engine will be producing 38 bhp more than the previous value of 306 bhp, resulting into 344 bhp. The power to weight ratio of the car also increases by 85 bhp per tonne from the previous 275 bhp per tonne.

The transmission system of the car is also very nice. The six speed manual transmission system to be fitted in the Audi TT ultra Quattro and all wheel drive provides 174 miles per hour top speed and 0-62 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds.
