Audi Plans on Launching the R10 at the Frankfurt Motor Show
|   Thursday, September 05, 2013
Audi is all set to enter the realm of high speed hyper cars with the 600 BHP plus all new R10. The vehicle has been inspired from the Le Mans based R18 vehicle and is all set to be the new flagship model from Audi. The rear wheel drive speed machine has been placed right above the Audi R8 in terms of performance and durability and Audi hopes to attain optimum appraisals in the market with this product launch.

The R10 is set to be the perfect link between Audi's high profile sports cars and its street legal vehicles.
The R10 features a diesel electric hybrid power train that is the major source of power behind the ride. The power train is connected to a decent Quattro all wheel drive system while the engine is mated to a dual clutch automatic transmission system.

The Audi A10 hyper car is light weight and is designed for speed. It has the latest generation of torque vectoring and is expected to be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The body balance and weight adjustment on the ride is exceptional and the finesse and refinement level of the vehicle is unparallel. Built on a carbon fiber chassis, the R10 is currently in its production evaluation stage which means that if the nod is given, this vehicle could very well be on its way to the showrooms.

The final decision regarding the R10 is being considered at the moment and the market being volatile, the decision could take some time to be given. This hyper car is one of the most important projects undertaken by Audi at the moment and the cutting edge technology installed in this vehicle has been inspired from the Audi R8 e-tron.

The idea of an electric coupe struck the engineering team as a possible solution to depleting car sales and this seems to be working quite well considering the amount of response received. Audi had plans to introduce a complete electric vehicle in the market. However, the plan had to be scrapped as the bosses did not give the go ahead sign. The R10 resembles the R18 and is hence one of the most aggressive looking Audis in the market at the moment.

The vehicle is powered by a 3.0 liter diesel V6 motor mated to an electric motor. The power is distributed using a dual clutch seven speed automatic transmission system. A total of 309 BHP along with 478 ft lb of torque is delivered while the light weight body structure propels the vehicle to the required speed.

The diesel engine along with the electric motor makes a total of 600 BHP along with 737 ft lb of torque and this amount of power is enough to propel the vehicle by its required acceleration. Out of the current projects undertaken by Audi at the moment, the R10 is one of the most important undertakings at the moment. The R10 is expected to draw heavy crowds at Frankfurt and this is one of the most celebrated projects at Audi at the moment.
