Aston Martin Showcases the New Vantage V12
|   Friday, June 07, 2013
Aston Martin is planning on showcasing a redesigned Vantage V12 in an attempt to design the world's fastest Aston Martin Reportedly the company plans on making this vehicle attain a top speed of 205 MPH. Some of the redesigning aspects of this vehicle include a new front end, inspired from the concept CC 100, a new V12 engine displacing 565 BHP and a seven speed automated transmission system along with reduced overall weight and an adaptive damper.

The six speed transmission system has been replaced by the seven speed gearbox and this maintains linear power delivery. The Vantage offers better displacement and drivability which translates to better performance. Engineers at Aston Martin say that they planned on creating a machine that would feature a broad concept apart from performance and comfort and hence the Vantage V12 was formulated.

This is an ambitious project for the company and Aston Martin has taken care of small and large aspects to make this vehicle as near perfect as possible. Great care has been taken to give this car a respectable finish and quality of the parts is top notch. The key aspect of this vehicle is its drive modes, namely Track, Sport and Normal.

Changing within these enhances the damper, suspension, and engine displacement and transmission settings. Power displacement is monitored constantly and these changes with the change in drive modes. Normal mode is quite usable and could be used for driving within the city perimeters. The torque is under control and the vehicle feels steady at all times.

Track mode is for taking sharp bends ad corners and the suspension is hardened while the vehicle sticks to the ground. Displacement is also enhanced while transmission is solely for the purpose of high speed control. Sport mode unleashes the beast within the motor and the car draws power from all cylinders. This is a scary feel as the Vantage V12 is a fast car and will accelerate instantly as the pedal is floored. The engine also has a very pleasant deep growl to it and it rings a bell every time the car is pushed.

Aston Martin has successfully designed and carried out manufacturing of this car and the Vantage V12 is the fastest production Aston till date. An all new Bosch management system is behind the mechanical components of the car while this engine red lines near the 5750 RPM mark. A Sports shift III transmission system makes sure power reaches the spot where it is required at all times and a dedicated monitoring system makes sure things do not go out of control.

The chassis on the Vantage V12 is 25 kg lighter than its predecessor and this gives it enhanced ability to speed. The only Aston Martin which is faster than the Vantage at the moment is the One 77 although this vehicle is not in production yet. Engineers at Aston Martin have worked hard to achieve what they have and this is a long way since the mishaps at the company.
