Aston Martin Launches the Latest Vanquish Volante
|   Wednesday, May 29, 2013
The latest model of the Aston Martin Volante has been spied testing once again, highly camouflaged as usual at the Nurburgring test track. The vehicle has been spotted at the very beginning of the industry test season. It is rumored that the Volante will be showcased at Pebble Beach this year and this vehicle will be the top draw for Aston Martin at the event.

The coupe version of the vehicle went on sale in August 2012 and the Volante is expected to be out for sale by the end of the year, if not by August.
External changes on the Volante have been minimal as compared to the coupe and the only additions made to the vehicle are the rear spoiler. The panels are basically the same although this vehicle is more aerodynamic owing to its solid roof.

The Volante is without doubt just as stable as the coupe and high speed stability is an aggregate which helps Aston Martin rank amongst one of the finest vehicles on the planet. Aston Martins however were not always as popular as they are today and not so long ago the vehicles from Aston Martin were famous for their unreliability. This was a highly unprecedented situation which Aston Martin has finally managed to recover.

The Vanquish Volante on the other hand seems to be slightly higher than the coupe and the folding soft roof on the Volante reduces weight of the ride while drawing much of the load to the rear section of the Volante. This as a result makes driving easier and the Volante feels more stable. The Volante draws power from a 5.9 liter V12, which is lifted off the Coupe and this gives the Volante a top speed of 180 MPH while acceleration from 0 – 60 MPH is possible under 4.5 seconds.

Although the final pricing of the Volante has not been made public, the vehicle is expected to be priced somewhere close to the £200,000 mark although this has not been confirmed at the moment. The Vanquish – both the Coupe and the Volante – is based on the latest VH platform which features the use of additional carbon fiber and aluminum parts. This keeps weight in check while increasing torsion rigidity.

This vehicle will be a direct rival to the Mercedes Benz S Class and the Bentley Continental GT. Aston Martin is known for its smooth lines and sleek vehicles and the Volante is the best example of what the British car maker is capable of. Mechanically, the car is a success like its elder cousin the Vanquish Coupe and hence there is no doubt about the figures.

LED headlamps are an addition to the vehicle and they are meant to enhance the visual aesthetics of the ride. Interior design is at its peak while this car is an epitome of luxury. The cabin is well designed and proportioned and this makes the car equally enthralling to drive. Once the Volante hits showrooms it is expected to be the hot favorite of the season.
