Arash Brings To Geneva No More, No Less Than 2,080 Horsepower

As we know, the Arash Motor Company is a factory in England, specifically from Newmarket in Suffolk, which is famous for its production of sports cars. Well, if that does not tell you anything, you might remember it by the name "Farboud Limited", because that was its name in 1999, thanks to Arash Farboud, and in 2006 changed its name to "Arash Motor Company".

So, Arash Motor Company aims to bring to the Geneva Motor Show a new AF10 model, and when we say "new" we mean an upgrade to the model that first appeared in 2008.
To better understand what we are talking about we have to imagine that under the hood of this car, there is a hybrid system consisting of a V8 engine with a displacement of 6.2 liters and four electric motors.

Let's start from the beginning: the base engine of the AF10 develops a total of 900 hp. But we are far finished, so don't be amazed yet. The engine torque reaches somewhere around 1,200 Nm. Do not forget to take into account the four electric motors that bring on top of the 900 hp developed by the base engine an extra 1,180 hp. Following a simple mathematical calculation, we arrive at an impressive figure of 2,080 hp developed by the AF10.

The torque of the electric motors amount to 1,080 Nm. In conclusion, we are dealing with the AF10 sports car with All-Wheel-Drive traction system, which develops in total 2,080 hp and 2,280 Nm of torque. The AF10 reaches the first hundred kilometers per hour in less than three seconds and the speed limit is over 323 km / h.
The combustion engine communicates with all four wheels through a manual six-speed gearbox. There is also the option of an automatic transmission that comes along with paddle shifters.

Each electric motor is equipped with one gearbox, with two steps, and a Li-Ion battery of 32 kWh. The battery can be charged using the four engines that behave as electrical generators because of the "Race Mode" option.

The 13-piece reinforced chassis makes use of carbon fiber and is linked to the bodywork of the car, also built from carbon fiber, on top of the added plastic and aluminum - a sandwich construction, which is set in motion by wheels measuring 19 inches in front and 20 inches at the rear, bearing Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires, and is protected from road bumps through a hydraulic suspension system.

Along with the AF10, Arash Motor Company has another model - AF8 - which appeared in 2014 and carries the full name of AF8 Cassini, which works thanks to a V8 GM, capable of developing 550 hp and 645 Nm of torque, with resources sent to the wheels via six-speed manual transmission.

The AF10 and AF8 will be present at the Geneva Motor Show in early March of 2016.

Prices start at 350,000 pounds for the V8 model, and for AF10 the price reaches 1.1 million pounds. There is also a racing version, with metal inserts in the bodywork (protective bar), fire extinguisher and other pluses, and the price increases to 1.2 million pounds.
