All-New F-150 Pickups Score Impressive Fuel Economy
|   Saturday, November 29, 2014
Ford's newly updated F-150 pickup series has scored an impressive win on the fuel economy front. With an average fuel economy of 22 mpg, the F-150 line now is the most fuel-efficient pickup line on the market.

The 2015 all-aluminum F-150 achieved 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, making the average mileage 22 mpg. This is quite an achievement since, according to the www.wallstreetcheatsheet.com, because the lighter-weight aluminum body – about 700 pounds lighter than the steel-paneled 2014 F-150, achieved its impressive mileage gains with few aerodynamic changes.

In other words, it looks like Ford's current attempt to improve fuel economy for its profitable pickup truck line has worked.
