Alfa Romeo, the Italian car maker is famous for designing unconventional cars and the Alfa Romeo GT is one such vehicle. The company plans to launch a new revamped version of the all new GT and this is great news for all sports enthusiasts as the GT is dedicated to performance.

The first generation of the Alfa Romeo GT was launched in 2003 and the vehicle became known worldwide since for its extreme handling, massive power and great acceleration.
Alfa Romeo had designed the GT keeping in mind the needs of the urban youth and the GT seemed to fit the bill quite smoothly.

Alfa Romeo was always known for designing aerodynamic and technologically advanced cars and the GT is all that and more. The vehicle packs in important amount of looks and performance and has the ability to outperform other cars in higher price brackets. Hence, the GT was truly a sports car.

The new Alfa Romeo GT will have a 3.2 liter L V6 petrol engine at the help producing 177 kW apart from a 1.9 liter JTD diesel variant. The diesel model of the GT was more powerful and popular. However, the same cannot be said about the new model.

The new 3.2 liter L V6 provides the drive train option which allows the car to be driven in three distinct modes – sports, normal and hyper. Sports mode enables high torque formation at low gears and increases the acceleration of the vehicle by a huge margin. Normal mode is perfect for driving in city conditions as the controlled torque production and low gear shift ratios make the vehicle easy to control in the city traffic. The hyper mode is perfect for cruising in the freeways and the balanced torque formation means high speed cruising seems perfect and comfortable.

The engine is very refined and engine vibrations are negligible. The cabin is set to receive a face lift and the interior has an elegant leather upholstery complete with an LED dash board and gauges. The advanced noise reduction system does not allow external sounds or engine noise to enter the cabin when the windows are pulled up and if any extra noise is detected inside the cabin, electromagnetic waves are sent to cancel out the vibrations.

The use of hi tech carbon fiber and aluminum is rampant to keep the weight to a bare minimum. The exterior has also received a few minor changed and overall the vehicle looks complete.

The car has the presence of rear wings and a carbon fiber spoiler and this helps the vehicle stay grounded. The handling of the GT seemed near perfect due to its perfect front to back weight distribution ratio. The power to weight ratio of the vehicle is also efficiently calculated and hence there is no trouble while shifting.

The smooth transmission and suspension on the vehicle create an overall great driving experience and the vehicle will be available in showrooms across the world in 2014. The prices are yet to be declared.
